Info:
I'm very happy to release the first alpha build of AOSP IMM76L for Samsung Galaxy S Plus (GT-i9001). Most of you probably know that i've been busy with compiling AOSP for a long time now, and I finally succeeded to compile it by using a very wrong and lame way (tut will come later). Anyways the build is running very stable so far and the performance is very neat. Currently some CM9 sources are copied to the AOSP build to make it working correctly, all the apps are compiled from original AOSP source.

AOSP ICS for the Galaxy W isn't a dream anymore- it become reality. A bunch of thanks to broodplank1337 who gave me green lights and the base!

actually AOSP ICS for I9001, would be nice if anybody would make one for the W.

Finally we got ourselfs an AOSP Stock ROM to modify ! Please give me as much feedback as possible, so I can improve the ROM!

Install
Make sure you use an ICS Recovery.
- Wipe data and cache. (if you're using CM9 you may only wipe cache)
- Flash AOSP_IMM76L_ancora-Alpha02-signed.zip.
- Flash update-Gapps-ICS-20712.zip. You must flash gapps after flashing the rom.
- Reboot phone.

Of course. Just a simple calculation-
CM9 is based on AOSP ICS +CM9 has been modded with many battery-eating apps and frameworks = AOSP ICS has a better battery life and should be faster.

However it's less customizeable.
I will make several addons to change that.

for the records- AOSP ICS is a ROM which google releases for his Nexus devices
It's PURE ANDROID

That seems to be a problem of CWM, since this is a ROM and NOT a RECOVERY.
Search in advanced settings or flash an other recovery. That's all I can do.

Try to use Battery Calibration in Play Store.

There is no % and no customization of the toggles. But if you would like to have some I can simply make an addon.

Anyway, I've got a question for you guys: since this is the stock ROM, is it still rooted? I guess this is a kernel thing so...I'm not sure which kernel has been used for this ROM so..I'm just asking. Is it still rooted or do I have to root it manually after flashing it?

Also, I know FM Radio is not present simply because the Google sources for Android 4.x don't have that (because there is no Nexus device with FM Radio chipset AND Android 4.x, so no need to develop an app for it when there is no hardware support for it) but would it be possible to compile and maybe port the FM Radio app from 2.3.6 stock ROM (the Nexus One has FM Radio and so, the source for it should be available from Google) to 4.0.4 in Galaxy W? I guess that would be a challenge.

I know it will look like the original app from Google ROM in 2.3.6 but at least it would offer us the possibility to actually use all the phone's features (until Google will release a device with Radio FM and maybe also Android 4.x so that it can be compiled and adapted for Galaxy W as well).

Also, for the ones asking about theme support: since this is the pure AOSP and not a modded version of the stock Android 4.0.4 (such as CyanogenMods), I guess the answer is no. It does not support themes. And since probably it isn't already rooted, you have no way of theming it (because you will have no access to the system files and folders). You can always use a custom launcher (such as Nova or Go Launcher, downloadable from Play Store) but it won't theme everything.

The last update of cwm is without (wipe battery stats) .. it is removed
I think there is no need for it .. just charge your battery 3-4 cycles.
