update to cm10 ??? this is cm9 thread.. this wont be updated to cm10.. for cm10 separate thread is there... ;)

you're wrong.... he didn't say to ivendor to update to CM10
I am using CM9 RC 3.1: When I call/answer an incoming call I sometimes notice after 10 seconds there will be no sound at all, I have to disconnect and call again. Any solution?

I am using RC3 instead of 5 as I saw many comments talking about random shutdowns, they even recommended RC3. I have been using it for almost month and I am happy with it, except for that problem.

Well... that's wrong. RC5 by ivendor is based on 2.6 kernel.
RC5 by arco is based on 3.0 kernel, the random shutdown only appears on 3.0 kernels for CM9. You can safely upgrade to RC5 by ivendor...

Thanks everyone, I am trying CM10 now. :D
-----
I found a bug in RC3.1 which was not present in RC3. And I don't know if this bug is present in the latest version as I didn't try it. The bug is in the camera application. When you open the settings and try to enable burst mode, it will stay on off. Restart the app and open the settings again, you will find burst mode is at 20 shots. In RC3 that worked without a problem and there was more than one choice for the number of shots (I think 5, 10, 15, 20).
I did not do a full wipe when upgrading from RC3 to 3.1, but I wiped cache, dalvik cache.

Btw is CM10 very smooth because of Butter and it looks better imo.

Well, for me CM10 notification drawer (black background, white icons) is so ugly compared to CM9 (sexy holo styled with semi-transparent background) that it's the only thing that prevents me from upgrading to CM10 - after all I see it very often during the day :p.

Hey, i once had this rom installed, and i had huge batterydrain (my fault, browsing with 3g for a whole day). After a while i only had 8% battery left. But then i started to listen to some music using earphones, and the battery drain was only 2% per hour!
Not long after that i read in this thread that ivendor (or arco) made some changes to bring down the battery drain while listening to music. And the result was amazing. I dont know when this tweak was build in this rom or what version i was running when this happened...

Is it possible to put this tweak in cm10/cm10.1? Because battery drain while listening to music is really high on cm10/cm10.1

Nobody? I think answering my question is more development related than talking about someone who said "error"... the best way to stop spam is to ignore spam... because talking about spam IS spam!

Somewhere in this thread i believe. But there are over 2000 posts in this thread and it was really long time ago. Maybe i misread something or i dont remember it well, but i know for sure that battery drain while listening t music was way better in cm9 than cm10.

Hi everyone, i'm back and i've decide to start a my thread for my releases.
This ROM is based on arco's kernel, so no OV (for the moment).
I'm updating regulary from CM9 official repository and merging arco's work when it's necessary. So my credits go to all the Cyanogenmod team and arco especially.

For the screenshot and video you can refer arco thread

    What's working:
    Audio
    Receiving and making calls
    GPS
    Compass
    Proximity sensor
    Wifi
    Bluetooth
    USB mass storage
    HW accelerated gui
    HW accelerated video
    Camera
    USB/Wifi tethering
    BLN

    Partially working:
FM radio (you can use Spirit FM Free with Audio->Method = "qdsp5v2 Altern", there isn't an FM Radio app in CM9)

Please verify the md5sum to be sure you got the right one.
Before you install CM9: Preparation (First three are optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)

    1. Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
    2. Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
    3. Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
    4. Boot into CWM5 recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
WARNING: Many apps will Force Close crash if you restore data from a previous ROM.

    Install

    1. Use CWM5 or CWM6.
      For flashing with Odin: recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 | recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-ariesve.tar.md5 (Needs AriesVE.ops)
For using dd command to flash: recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.zip | recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-ariesve.zip
    2. Wipe data and cache.
    3. Flash update*.zip.
    4. Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM9 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
    5. Reboot phone.
    6. After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
    7. Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
      • If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
      • It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.
    Upgrades
Upgrades from previous versions of CM9 are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between CM9 versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data.

Note: You can upgrade from arco's CM9 and vice versa.

    FAQ
    • For recovery bootloop problem you should at this post
    • BLN feature recap:
      • It is activable/deactivable from Settings->Displays->Notification Light
      • Its timer is adjsutable from Settings->Device->Advanced
      • The timer settings is 1.6 seconds by default, i advice not to set it to infinite because whenever the light of keypad is turned on, the phone can't go in deep sleep.
      • There is no blinking support in it at this time, this is a raw porting of BLN for i9000.
    • No System Sounds UI:
      • Download this app
      • Set the system volume to maximum (7). You should hear the sounds again.
