To flash K^Kernel over this rom, do I have to flash only the kernerl or also another .zip, such as adreno.libs?

My pc(windows xp) not recognized the phone with this rom:confused:

What do you mean??? You mean MTP, mass storage??? I never tried XP with this phone but theoretically it should works. Try check for the latest samsung drivers maybe??

I tried Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 with working adb, MTP and mass storage. Download mode will not work for Windows 8.1 which is the only issue that I've faced, all other OS are working good.

This is very strange..With all ROMs works good but with this one my phone isn't recognized.. I don't see any message as MTP or USB massStorage when It linked with USB, only a message disable DebugUSB:confused:

Try to check under setting > storage > usb connection or check whether you have force fast charge option being turned on in setting > advanced

Download and install Devon-Team TWRP or CWM recovery from this forum, here the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463347

Be sure also that your device us not affected by emmc bug, in this case use the special recovery for emmc bricked devices (available for download in the same tread).
I've just installed CM9 yesterday using TWRP and all work fine.

Hey hiej, Thank you very much for replying , :good:

but I have a query that what if I roll back to my stock ROM first and then do recovery with TWRP ?
because I have accidentally installed TWM taiwan baseband I9001ZSKPC instead of India INU I9001XXKQP ..

so I am thinking I would go back to INU first and then do recovery with TWRP for CM9 . that might solve the problem from base itself.
because its showing "Can't access to'system/csc/twm/system" which is very relevent to go back to INU I guess.

Need guidance please. I woul like to know how to go back to INU and then I would follow TWRP which is looking very Neat.

Thanks Mate for helping. :)

Hi, you can flash the PHONE/MODEM firmware independently whenever you want, it's written here in the xda wiki page for our device, in the section on ROM parts: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Plus/GT-I9001#ROM_parts

As usual, after flashing anything clear caches.

Thanks for the reply bro . but I am bit confused here . I am already using CM9 and I want to roll back to stock ROM which I have already downloaded .

Shall I flash it into recovery mode directly in the phone or do I have to do any CWM or TWRP procedure ?

Please reply . thank you. cheers

So that means I can flash it into recovery mode directly just like Odin+Aiesve.ops procedure we do for CM9 in CWM ?

So I have to just put the mentioned tar file.... DDKP9 Modem TAR... in the thread u sent about ROM instead of recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5........ in download mode ?

and then flash the download Baseband version into after recovery mode from sdcard ?

Please verify the md5sum to be sure you got the right one.
Before you install CM9: Preparation (First three are optional. If you want to start fresh, these can be skipped)

    1. Install AppBak from Market, run it and save a list of all your apps.
    2. Install SMS Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your SMS history.
    3. Install Call Logs Backup and Restore from Market, run it and backup your call log history.
    4. Boot into CWM5 recovery. Make a full backup. You will need this backup later if you decide to go back to your previous ROM and data.
WARNING: Many apps will Force Close crash if you restore data from a previous ROM.

    Install

    1. Use CWM5 or CWM6.
      For flashing with Odin: recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.tar.md5 | recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-ariesve.tar.md5 (Needs AriesVE.ops)
For using dd command to flash: recovery-clockwork-5.5.0.4-ariesve.zip | recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.2-ariesve.zip
    2. Wipe data and cache.
    3. Flash update*.zip.
    4. Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade to CM9 since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
    5. Reboot phone.
    6. After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
    7. Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
      • If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
      • It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.
    Upgrades
Upgrades from previous versions of CM9 are the same process as install, except you do not need to wipe anything. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to even wipe cache and dalvik-cache when upgrading between CM9 versions. You only need to wipe if you are doing a major upgrade, switching to a different ROM entirely, or attempting to fix bugs caused by bad backups or corrupt app data.
