You lost Root

I came from GB (kindroid V7) and I just flash it from franco cwm.
I can't write en /system partition... any idea?
you might be thinking being Kingdroid means same family, version 7 to 1.1 = no problem.

hope you understand why we have a version change from 7 to 1.1.

You cannot flash 1.1 this way.

Go back to GB, ensure proper root.

Go to Official ICS, then Flash this.

Try following instruction published in TMT 1.2 thread.

Boot into recovery and flash it. Make sure you are following the introduction.

How did you brick your note with Stunner? Can you retell the steps?

Nokia 3310 -> Siemen Scorpion -> LG GL500 -> Nokia NGage -> Nokia 8850 -> Lenovo LP500 -> iPhone 2G 4Gb -> iPhone 2G 8Gb -> LG Optimus One P500 -> Dell Streak 5 -> Galaxy Note GT-N7000 -> ???

I can tell my idea for installation, like i did with 100% success in AlBa and criscelo.

Install abyssnote 4.2 kernel (via mobile Odin or recovery).
Reboot into recovery.
Full wipe.
Install ROM.

But it's better to clear that.

Sent from my mind...
Ok guys...
I was in asylum (cm but the point is that was in full root) and i try this way to instal kingdroid.
Everything is ok and i have full root too.

So, make sure that your previous ROM have full root before install this one.

Ain't it dangerous to use cwm with LPY kernels? Is it possible to have an odin flashable version?

I flash it directly on top of Criskelo v3 ( LPY kernel) and wipe all caches and data
Flash went well, absolutely no problems

I am trying to use root explorer, but keep getting the message '..permissions cannot be changed because the file system is read-only.'.

The little box on top, right in Root Explorer shows Mount R/W.

Thanks for your help!

I come from Alba LPY repack litened by and I am flashing right now this one also litened, I will give feedback after a few hours of use. I am willing to know if the increase of performance is so noticeable as the developers say It is, I hope so ^^.

Moved from Criskelo V3 ICS LPY to KingDroid ICS NoteMania 1.1. This method worked for me.

  • Boot to recovery
  • Flash AbyssNote Kernel 3.9
  • Advanced -> Reboot recovery
  • Factory Reset
  • Wipe Cache
  • Advanced -> Reboot recovery
  • Flash KingDroid_ICS_NoteMania_Edition_v1.1.zip
  • Reboot

Retained full root, no lags, battery life seems to have improved.:)

Sorry if i didn't understand you but from what i understand, you should click that little box to change r/w instead of it being read only. :)
