THIS IS MY OWN ROM

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Enable USB Debugging mode on your device, You can do this

Settings> Applications> Development



Step 2: Download the ROM file and flashtool from here on your computer. After downloaded, extract the same file on your computer. It should have two files that is Kernel and Main ROM.

Step 3: Then connect the device via USB data cable and copy the main ROM file to your phone SD card.

Step 4: Enter fastboot and flash kernel
Step 5: Once the flashing is done, turn off the device and reboot to CWM recovery. Then do a full wipe, Select “Wipe Data/Factory reset, then select “ Wipe Cache” and after that go to advanced select “Wipe Dalvik Cache”.

Step 6: Navigate to “Install zip from sd card” and then select “ Choose Zip from sd card” to select the main ROM file which you have placed in your phone.

Step 7: After the ROM flashing is done, select Go Back and then choose “Reboot System Now” option to reboot your device.

I think the kernel is OK, maybe there's sth wrong with the ROM

Yes it's the rom which is corrupted. Anyway the kernel boots the rom but it makes the superuser app crash, there must be a problem with root... So I did not test kernel's efficiency.

The problem is in the rom, the only one in the kernel is the superuser app which crashes.

This guy is a fraud. This is the second ROM he has tried to claim as his own work. I looked a little into his photo he posted (photos speak a thousand words) and found it elsewhere online for the X10 created by a different dev.

From the site:

"This ROM, called dark edition HD, comes to us courtesy XDA developer 7hr08ik, and uses FXP as the base with MIUI ported on top of it, thus combining the best of both ROMs."

Does Smth mean same thing? How are you having the same problem when you supposedly wrote the ROM? Did you not test the ROM before you published it? Oh wait this is an X10 ROM isn't it?

This guy is a fraud.

Sadly I'd have to agree - if you look at his previous posts he's recently asked how to build his own ROMs now it seems he's decided it's easier to just steal others work.

I'm all for porting ROMS - jjdoctor has done some amazing work porting over ARC ROMS, but he's always given credit where it's due, and noted any changes or work he's done himself (which is by no means insubstantial!).

If you're going to port, then don't try and take all the credit - dev's quickly lose the taste for it if they see their work being ripped off by less talented people.
