Just installed this ROM, everything seems nice.
Although issue with pattern lock appears (changes to slide and no way around just to pull battery out) which was not present at Fluorescent ROM.
I have temporarily worked around this issue (until ROM update) by disabling security in settings and then installing magiclocker (free) from play store. Problem solved! :)

Walkman App

Saqib, could you fill me in on the dependencies of the Walkman app? I've removed some apps from your build and now every time I try to start the Walkman app it crashes right away without even starting. I figure I must have inadvertently removed something the Walkman app depended on. Or can you post a zip-file with all the necessary components? That way I could try a reinstall instead of tinkering any longer with Titanium Backup.

Yeah I have used it from a thread. Search in the Themes & Apps Section Xperia Z Walkman port by jader 13254.

font smoothing

Saqib, do you know of any way to turn of font smoothing in your ROM? Whenever I boot to recovery I get nice and crips fonts, but within the ROM itself every font is always blurry. I know that it is supposed to be that way, but I would like to change it, if there is a fix. On my Windows PC I have disabled all font smoothing / ClearType and I would like to do so in Android as well, not sure how it works, though... . I'm happy to hear from anyone who could maybe help with this request.

I don't know any way of font smoothing. I reckon you are using NXT 2013 fonts, I would suggest you to use other fonts, NXT 2012 may be? You can take it from my roms aroma folder & replace those & fix permission. otherwise I can redirect you to a post. Search Mankotialovely, he has a thread with lots of fonts :)

Thanks, man. I have replaced my fonts with the ones provided here (Installed via Recovery / Zip):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27821262

These may be the NXT 2012 fonts? Not sure, but it sure looks better now - Not perfect, but pretty good. The status bar has also become much more legible, particularly the number 6 (battery percentage), which had been barely legible before.

LED control

My LED control seems not to work properly, which is weird to me as nobody complained .

E.g., when I set the color for battery charging to white and plug the charger in, the LED turns on and it is white. But when I lock the phone (by power switch) after approx. 2 secs the LED goes off. When I unlock the phone, it goes on again in white, but then turns orange (default system) or it's orange right away.

I tried to update the Light Manager to the latest version (5.0) - flashed via CWM, clean the application data (in Settings -> Apps -> All), no luck.

Other applications (e.g., "Blink - Flash LED in Your Way", "LED Blinker") also seem not to work properly. Also, I get fc of the "Settings app" when I select Settings -> LED control .

Could you point me where could be the problem? I'm not 100% sure but I think it's since a clean ROM install (ftf stock .587 (without kernel)-> Revolution 8.0).

LWW/Revolution 8.0/Kappa 1.7b1

Thanks a lot for any hints.

1. It's a Light Manager app fault so you can report it in playstore app page, I didn't want to include it just some people requested. I would rather suggest you to disable Led control. That's the best solution
2. Settings will give fc cause Light Manager app in implemented into settings not others that you tried, you cannot use that string with other app. it's logical :) I hope you got my point

Thanks a lot for the explanation!

1.) I've disabled Light Manager already. I was wondering if there's something wrong with my phone and also to have working LED control in Settings, when "it is there" ;).
2.) I see .. I thought that the entry in Settings panel is something like a shortcut, that just executes "LEDcontrol.apk" in "/system/app". Thanks for clarifying.

I asked mckoo (the author of Light Manager) about the problem (here at xda-developers). His answer was
"It is due to the default system. See if you can disable that? Else there is no way I can override the default notification LED." (quotation of the LM thread, hope it is OK to quote in this way(??)).

I did find only Settings-> Display->Pulse notification light, which disables all LED notifications (Light Manager doesn't work then), except battery charging status.

Interesting that LM worked for some users .

So I modded my System.apk (removed the LED control entry) ... BTW, I saw how the processes are invoked and why there were fcs ;).

Hmm ok nice that you have found so many infos. Light Manager is never been perfectly working for some users, it's just that some of the users can catch that, some users don't & others have no worry about whats going on :)
