Hi there,

I think I found a bugs in this ROM (or not? cmiiw)
1. when I tried to remove apps from /system/app, both using root exp and adb (rw mounted first), and then I restarted the phone, the apps still there, even functioning properly. I want to free some space in /system/app and remove unnecessary apps.

2. when I reboot the phone, the setting under 'performance' (e.g surface dithering, under memory management, etc) and under 'developer options' are back to defaults (the settings are not saved).

ideas?
Thanks :)

Hi, I am very busy this weeks and at the moment i can not work in camcoder. It implies debbuging android libstagefright and possibly OpenMax video decoder, because it has got an not informed error when camera records video. I also merged last video related commits of cyanogenmod (thanks to homi3kh for notice me) but it is not enough for doing it working.

The state of camera in other msm7227 devices is equal to Legend, indeed Legend was first msm7227 device having preview, and other devs contact with me about it. If it was for help for fix it, great! About armv7 archs, Desire S and Desire has got camcorder but Nexus One does not. SGS2 and Nexus have got, obviously.

I have planned a to-do list, including:
- Camcorder,
- Pending fixes "fixed" (Limit data usage, boot animation size, gb AGPS fix, voice search, wifi/VPN realed settings, etc..),
- Inverted Apps,
- OJ Wake up (fixed in my local repo)

This future update will be release in base to when is camcorder fixed, because I intend they are not so important as camcorder.

On the other hand, it is a very good news that CM9 Legend Beta0 has got beyond 2,000 downloads, incredible!, it is also thanks to you, and 7 donations (not bad); thanks very much, your contribs are very appreciated!!).

Well, I will stay off during next two weeks and then I will work at camcorder and I will release an update with minor fixes.

Risking the wrath of flaming for off-topic, I salute you zeubea, your efforts are awesome.
So long as we know there will eventually be an update, I personally don't care when it will be here, take as long as you need :D  ;)

As the dark ages of old overused roms will fall on your legends, he will show you the light.

Please give us drawer transperancy...

Thanks allot!

Yep that was me about the reboots. I have had to go back to CM7.2 at the moment as my wifi now causes reboot after every sleep. Nice to know that I am not the only one with the issue.

Am going to try some things to see if I can get it to work normally and post back later

Am I the only one that has serious battery drain? When going to battery in the settings menu it says that it's the screen that causes this, but that is impossible, as it is very low at the moment while I'm playing around to see what causes this. It drains at around 10 to 20 percent per hour. With just sending a few messages once in a while and being on wifi. Listening to one album drains 15 percent, but it is not the music player according to the phone statistics.
I got 2 days out of it max with really just basic use. Redownload reinstall recalibrate battery stats and try again.

install better battery stats and see whats causing the drain.

recalibrating the battery = you get the same effect every time you charge the battery and unplug it from charger. (the "battery useage" screen in the OS resets)
it doesnt affect the battery bar or how long the device stays on.

And I can assure you there is nothing it does that has any impact on battery level reporting or battery draining (aside from whatever work the code itself does that would use power).

Frankly, arguing that deleting the file is having any impact on the reported battery level on these devices is the same as arguing that the sun orbits the earth. It just isn't true, and you can go right into the code and see this for yourself.
thats my daily derail, anyway :D
