Shutter sound can't be turned off unless we silent our sound. I am still trying to install a n HTC camera, but not successful.

To free up memory, you can delete some of the apps you don't need (don't forget to remove the ODX files as well). Also the splash image (3MB) can be removed from /system/media/bootanimation.zip.

Instead of deleting, you can move them to a folder in your SD card so if you need you can just copy them back using Root Explorer.

Anybody have difficulties with QR scanner? Mine can not scan, although the application opened.

I have a few question: how can I disable shutter sound? It is a bit annoying.

Touchpal says it can't load the user dictionary because of low memory, turns out I have left only 19MB on /system. How can I free up more /system memory?

I think to use things like barcode scanner it needs to be able to capture video.
I used to use instant heart rate monitor, that app used to fc until the still camera was fixed, it will open without fc but won't take heart rate.

for QR scanner; zeubea released a modified camera.legend.so that has to be installed with adb in recoverymode

how to:

enable usb debugging and root access for adb in "system settings - settings for developpers"
connect your phone to your pc
copy the unzipped camera.legend.so file to your sdcard
run following commands
adb reboot-recovery
adb shell
mount /system
mount /sdcard
mv /system/lib/hw/camera.legend.so /system/lib/hw/camera.legend.so.bak
cp /sdcard/camera.legend.so /system/lib/hw/camera.legend.so
exit
adb reboot
restore root access settings to apps only in "system settings - settings for developpers"

This one is from gb device tree legend and adapted to ics, then it inherits all properties related to gsm, hspa etc . Please, check and tell if any wrong.

Err... I'd like to add a few incompatibilities:

HDR Camera+ can not be set to 3:2 ratio (screen becomes full of lines)
Photaf auto picture taking doesn't work
GPS doesn't work
Can not send/retrieve MMS (I have checked my APN settings)

Edit:
HDR Camera+ 3:2 ratio and Photaf auto picture taking is now working after replacing camera.legend.so.

GPS is now working after replacing gps.agps.legend.so.

For everybody who wants to disable camera shutter sound and other related sounds use this:

With rootexplorer go to system/media/audio/ui and there just rename the sound you dont want. Thats it

Folks,

Can you all pls try to support zeubea regarding his question like frullewulle does? I really would like to see zeubea being able to proceed with providing a final ICS version soon :-D :-D Would have done so too but my Legend is defect a.t.m. as the battery is not fuly loaded anymore..need to get a replacement first ;-)
