Cannot go back to Beta0

Thanks Zeubea for your great job!
I tried Beta1 but after some problems tried to go back to Beta0.

I am with the damn bootloops again :)
This time they are different as they appear after the Android skating. The message 'Actualizando Android - Iniciando aplicaciones' appear and...again the Android skater...

I tried:
1.- wipe data - restore to original , then install beta 0. It works, but as soon as i recover my last CM9 backup, again the bootloop,
2.- wipe cache, wipe dalvik, flash again gapps-ics --- again bootloops,
3.- flash again gapps-ics, wipe cache, wipe dalvik -- again bootloops.

I keep working on going back to Beta0 ... any idea?

Thanks :)

This build is too much different of former one; you are sure for doing all wipes and formats.

Thanks Zeubea for your quick response.

But i am not sure on what you mean.

I plan to wait for news. After reading your last posts i think you are working on same fixes. I think i also read a new release coming today?

What i finally did is to wipe data and install Beta0.
At this point i am not able to recover my last CM9 backup with all my apps and config cause it brings me to the bootloops again :-/

So, the good thing is i have a brand new Beta0 install :-D

The bad thing is i will have to manually install my apps and config my phone.

Anyway, i am looking forward for future releases. Great job.

Cheers,
Javier.

What it means is this build has got merged a lot changes as compared to former one. As a result, some normal FCs because the new status, but this the right path: you test, you report and I try to find out fixes and merged here. For testing this build, you must do all wipes and formats and NOT NANDROID FROM CM9 BETA0, because gui libs are not the same. Just install apps from scratch.

Thanks Zeubea for your quick response.

data2ext?

Love that we have ICS on our little old Legend. Beta0 has been awesome, especially since I setup data2ext. Looks like Beta1 has some issues with the data2ext scripts that TheGrammarFreak posted a while back. Works great in CM7, works great in Beta0, won't boot when enabled on Beta1. Is there a custom kernel I should be flashing too?

Ha! Figured it out: reboot to recovery after and then repair permissions. Works a treat now. :)

The ICS Buttons not Working on CM9 beta 1
ICS buttons updated for beta1, go to first page and go to the optional link.
NEW
-I scaled down the button to 32px so it won't eat much screen. Enjoy. Download in first post.
-I also disable hardware button backlight so it won't be weird having soft button and hardware button at the same time :D

Guys this ain't nightly build don't expect to just upgrade from beta0 to beta1, backup all ur apps and data with titanium backup, then always do a fresh flash of this ROM, and restore ur apps and data back, remember this is still in beta state.

After testing it, wow the laucher is much more smoother, many bugs was fixed like mobile network bar only show half, lockscreen sometimes unresponsive now it's better, and the new background in setting is cool :D but i like the old black bg better, where can i get ics theme anyway? no force close here cuz i do a fresh install, this is much stable than beta0 if u do a fresh install. one problems is the video codec is still the same, can't play HD vids, video recording isn't working too it record but can't play it, in pc can't too. i think the codec is messed up. :(

I love this new update, however I'm having heaps of issues restoring my apps from TB, not sure if its a tb issue or what, when restoring the progress gets stuck and won't keep going have to force stop app and start again but still keeps stuffing up.
Never had this issue ever before and I've used it very often too so got me stumped tb version 5.1.1.
I've done a fix permissions but this seams to make more problems :what::confused::mad:

Update: I downgraded tb from 5.1.1 to 5.1.0 & didn't have any issues restoring my apps now, touch wood...
sent from my legend, currently using zeubea ics beta 1 :-D

There are few working themes on the market. Most of them are for HDPI

About FCs, this works for me like a temp solution : Developer options -> Background process limit : At most 4 process It is intended here 'process' means = "Android app", not linux process.

ranger, with this version is different too much things, including size of recovery partition (I suppose this is the reason ...)

homi3kh, video encoding are not working in any msm7227 device because it requires to change the OMX video encoding itself. I suppose the problem is camera uses gingerbread codecs, unlike ics codecs present in the rom, but it is just a thinking ...

I have updated the device tree https://github.com/zeubea/android_device_htc_legend and I have uploaded the kernel source of lengend https://github.com/zeubea/htc-msm7x27-ics . This kernel is forked from munjeni's aria kernel (thanks munjeni!).

Who know how to get GPS work on CM9 Beta1? Do not work on my Legend, no any indication in tool bar and no any sattelite able to find.
Hi,
You could try the following, worked for me but I don't know if it'll work for you :

1. Go to Settings>Location Services and then click 'GPS Source'. Make sure 'Use Internal GPS' is selected.

2. In the same Location Services screen, tick the boxes next to 'GPS Satellites' and 'Google's location service' (press agree when the prompt comes up)

This should be enough for it to work. If not there is one last thing I know of that you can try:

3. Download the 'GPS Status & Toolbox' app from the Play Store. Once installed go into the app and hit Menu and then select Tools. From the popup menu select Manage A-GPS state. Select Reset and then Download. Reboot and see if you can get a fix now :)

Thanks for suggestions but still can not find any locations using GPS, using Wi-Fi
only.
