Hi all, I'm sharing my days experience on beta1 which unfortunately have not been good. As an update to the tb restore issues I was having, I discovered that I still had some apps in the tb repository backed up from the time I was on gingerbread, in any version upto beta0 I didn't have any issues restoring my apps, however in beta1 doing a batch restore it gets stuck on the apps that were backed up from gingerbread days, so I filtered out the apps from gb and only restored apps from ics version and everything went well, or so I thought
I hate to complain about the great work being done here, but after a day on beta1 my phone went compleatly haywire basically the whole phone went into FC every app pretty much went into melt down, even cwm which is a system app wouldn't work (tried to do a fix permissions).
To make matters worse even my backup of beta0 became corrupt.
So have done a fresh flash if beta0 so far my phone is OK but I am almost coming to the belief that my rom space has bit the dust with bad blocks from to much flashing, only time will tell.

Can I just ask then how you're testing your GPS to see if it works or not eg. what app(s) are you using to determine if GPS works or not?

Sure, I am using Google Maps and Google Navigation. Also I tried GPS Test app.

I had no trouble with TB. I went from Beta0+Link2SD to Beta1+Data2Ext. Backups were made with TB 5.1.0 and restored with 5.1.1.

I also find Beta1 less stable than Beta0 so far, but overall I am very happy with the new beta! Complete story is in General section. My mistake to post it there..

edit: little thing I'd like to add: all backups I made are from apps I installed on Alpha5 or Beta0, except Angrybirds ;p I don't know if any gingerbread mess-ups are causing the problems you have, but I decided to delete all old TB backups (copied to pc) and make fresh ones. Just in case..

I upgraded to beta1 this morning, and after just 8 hours with this new version I'm sure I won't go back.

This is REALLY smoother, I can see animations even in Google Play Music! Trebuchet now is a great launcher ( I'm not going to replace it ) and smoother than Apex.
Also, new CM9 functions are a must-have!

The only issue was a Gallery Launch Crash that persisted until I removed it from "recent apps" in multitasking, but the fault could be of all the Performance>Memory options that I applied.

I'm using it and I have no problems... what kind of issues do you have?

Working for me but I had a lot fc's. Fix permissions fixed it

Given the fact that he is doing a remacable job maybe when htc release the source code to desire C, some features can be imported like beats, camera etc including video codecs that are a bit of a problem for now
as far as i know the terminal has 512 ram and a 600 cpu probably adreno 200 (can`t say yet)

Just installed Beta1 this morning and up to know it makes me very happy

First thing is the installation. Wiped data, factory reset, wiped cache, wiped Dalvic, installed Beta1, installed Gapps (full version) and no Bootloop . Great boot animation, runs smoothly.

No fc yet. Makes a very stable impression. Just restored all my apps with Tb, no problems, except for tb proces quiting sometimes. Installed Apex. Still miss some features in Trebuchet. New Apex has nice integration in system setting!

Up to now, after 6 hours of little usage, no problems at all. Great work again Zuebea

Update 1: Gps fix much faster than Beta0. s2e no problems. Still very happy

Finally I got GPS found satellites and it working now. The solutions was flash radio from our local forum.

Good news, it would seam that I have tracked down the cause of my issues, I have been using the newest versions of s2e available from the market, current is 2.2.1, in order to get it activated you need to enable mount ext3 as ext4 (without journaling). My ext is just the stock partitions done through clockwork mod which of course is ext3, up till now I have not had any issues so have never considered changing it. The only conclusion I have is by mounting the ext3 as ext4 is causing stability issues, there are technical reasons behind this but that's for another discussion in another tread.
After going back to version 1.2.0 of s2e I have been using my phone all day with out the issues I experienced before.
As for apps FC, doing a fix permissions in clockwork mod app fixed most of the apps that were fcing but there were still a few that didn't work, downloading fresh one from market was the final solution.
Now I got it working properly, having heaps of fun

Only restored the user apps and data. Had problems with the system data as well in the past.

I restored user apps+data and some system things like SMS storage, accounts, contacts, wifi passwords. It seems to work just fine

Hello, I just installed this ROM and I'm having some problems. Whenever I hit my home button on my Legend, the phone does not respond and take me home. Instead I have to keep on pressing the back button until I get to the main menu. As well as my phone is not accepting incoming calls..I can make texts and outgoing calls but it's not accepting any incoming calls. Lock screen also not working other than on the first unlock after boot. Are these known issues in the beta? Any fixes possible? Thanks. I understand this is beta so I'm in no hurry.

Does anyone have issues with WiFi?
I've enabled one of the 2 options available to turn off wifi while the phone is in standby mode, and with both options, when I turn on the screen, wifi doesn't find my network (it says it's out of range) and when I turn off wifi the phone reboots.

Can someone test this?
