TO YOU ALL: install ES File Explorer and go to settings where you can enable "up to root" even without root access....then just navigate to /system/app and run the superuser.apk ...

Hey zeubea have you thought about asking benjamingwynn over on the Wildfire S forums about how he fixed the problems (sdcard, camera) in his CM10 ROM?

sd card and camera i think that they are similar to ics ones but there are certain drivers that need to be compiled and that takes some time for each piece of hardware, i think zubea knows how to solve them but it takes some time and he will when he has the time, and stop reporting stuff and posting observations as he knows about them and posted them in the first post (read people its clearlly for developers only in case you know and whant to contribute with something usefull like helping with the messy parts) post problems and buggs refering to beta 5 rather then JB until the man releases an RC0

Thanks for your intererest about CM10. sdcard is alreadey fixed and camera is working as in CM9. In my cm10 alpha2 tested, the functionality is more or less such as cm9. However , there is a problem: wl1271 wifi module is not stable and provokes reboots. I will try to do more tests with it.

to fix sdcard issue, open vold.fstab in /system/etc/ change from

dev_mount sdcard /storage/sdcard0 auto /devices/platform/goldfish_mmc.0 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.2/mmc_host/mmc1
to
dev_mount sdcard /storage/sdcard0 auto /devices/platform/goldfish_mmc.0 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.2/mmc_host/mmc0

Hi guys, after I did the su reinstall, then I installed link2sd and reboot, the su issue happened again.
I reinstalled su then using link2sd converted it to system app now its all perfect.

You've out done yourself Mr Z, beta 5 so far is awesome.. no issues, yet.

Oh and when starting up GPS the GPS icon in the status bar flashes now while searching unlike before when it didn't flash, I don't know if that is just a visual only thing or is an actual function thing?

However, when I tried installing beta5 clockwork recovery stopped the installation with an Errorcode: Status 0
This usually means the following:
"This is usually caused by an incompatible update-binary in edify ZIPs. Replacing it with a compatible one, then re-signing the ZIP, will usually fix this error."

Do I have a bad download or do others experience the same?

As you all know I've had issues with GPS on zeubeas ics, however beta 5 GPS is working quite well, lock is a little bit slow, about 5 minuets but it does work, I've used it twice now so, so far so good


Edit:- my antutu score was 2028 my best ever :thumbup:

fIX THE SU ISSUE [permanently]

1-download es file explore
2-enable up to root from setting
3-goto system/aps
4-click superuser.apk it will re-install
5-download the super su (another program)
6-open super su
7-it will ask for root and volla
8-use es file esplorer and erase supersuer.apk and .odex

it works if you install over the one provided with the old ones. I dont remember where my old version of voice search came from but i have uploaded here.

Hi,

You are spot on this does fix the issue with voice. However, each time I reboot i get the non-functioning version back and have to do 'adb install' to correct it. How can I slipstream the app so I get your working version each time.

I thought I already posted it, but I don't see my own reply. With both Beta 5 and CM10 alpha 1 I get no further than the HTC logo. It keeps hanging there forever. Beta 4 fixed this problem. I probably have a bad zip file too.

Thanks Z for great work. I also got the same issue. downloaded twice Beta 5 but stuck at htc logo page after installation. I dont know if its a bad zip issue. May be a fresh upload required.

Thanks, it works. I still get some message from time to time that ushersu or something similar stopps but su works though. ANother thing i've noticed to BETA5 (or is just me?) is it drains the power faster that BETA4
