Interestingly, I flashed beta 5 over beta 4 and only wiped dalvik. No problems so far.

No you can't use native WiFi teather there are no drivers working. Open garden worked in versions before beta 5 (I never tried beta 5) but you can't use encryption like WPA or wpa2 only open connection, but, you can setup authorized devices connection for WiFi connection.Hi,
could someone please enlighten me how wifi tethering works?
(I´ve read the first post and know that I have to use open garden - but this only works using bluetooth and not like the actual wifi tether function...?)
Is there a way to use *regular* wifi tethering?
Hello again Ranger .
So,
I formatted ALL the partitions (boot, system, data, cache and I wiped the dalvik) but the phone is still stuck at the HTC logo :-/ (I waited 10mn) .
I'm back to beta4 ...
I have the same problem on mine but I assumed it was more a user error on my side since I'm not all that familiar with the Legend.Same problem here. Stuck at htc logo even though I did full wipe. previous ROM was cm7 and that always flashed fine.
I was under the impression that CWM would refuse to install a corrupt .zip? On my phone the installation ran without any error messages. Ideas anyone?
don't bother with redownloading the ROM, just check the md5sum.I have the same problem on mine but I assumed it was more a user error on my side since I'm not all that familiar with the Legend.
I'll try to download a fourth zip and see if it works this time
This is how I do it, never ever have problems!if you get htc logo bootloop after flashing the zip, try flashing the Gapps ALSO right after the ROM! With right after i mean: dont restart after flashing the rom, instead, flash the gapps also, then reboot.
I had the bootloop too and suprisingly it made adifference if there were gapps installed or not. With them installed, it worked perfectly.
If you're mom is not into technology, I would suggest a more stable ROM. like CM7.2? Unless you are there to provide tech-support most time of the day, then you can go ahead with this ROM. It has still a few glitches. My mother has an HTC legend which definitely needs another rom than the stock one. Found this thread in the forum and seems like a great rom for this phone.
What do you guys think, should I go for this rom or is there any other, more stable, rom that I should use? As I said, it's for my mother![]()
Thx in advance!
