Hi firstable congratulations for your rom, I love it!
I have one problem, the light sensor doesn't work, I've tried various light control App's and every app didn't read the light sensor properly, always 0 lux..., with other App's for sensor reading I have the same situation...
I'm using mesa kernel 4.5b1 and I tried with the last lupus kernel also with same result.

In the ICS rom that had perfect light sensor for you replace these files from there..als_curve.conf,hw_config.sh,sensors.conf
you can find those in system/etc folder

Bro are there ROMs that have a perfect light sensor config? Because on my mini pro when I enable the auto-brightness it works for a while then the level doesn't change; I had to download "disable auto brightness" from play store to turn off completely. On cm it works well

Either you have to go with auto brightness or disabled..cause it depends on the light & completely affected by it, so no way of controlling it. So if you want disabled auto brightness use those files from stock rom

Ive been using this rom ever since and its awesome. I had jst one question...
Wen i flashed this rom i chose the boot animation which shows android. But nw i wanna change it to the colourful wave thingy.. But i cant any bootanimation zip in the system/media folder.. How to change it?? ?_?

hi,

once i had found a build.prop tweak to edit the sensors.
but now i cant find it anywhere..
so please somebody help if you have solved the light sensor issue..
and to let you know that, i have already tried replacing the config and sensor in system>etc>

try re-flashing the stock rom. then flash the rom again and see if it helps you out..
and check the drivers for your device for the recognition of the device..

Umm you mean automatic brightness right? You can barely feel the auto brightness working in this rom, & could be others too, cause If I set to adopt to lightning condition much the screen flickers. So you can try replacing als_cruve.conf (system>etc) from other rom which you liked. Auto brightness depends on this file

thanks for the reply but i could not find als_config in system>etc..
but i will try replacing hw_config.sh and sensors.conf and i will report what happens..

Hello, I've got a problem with Viper Xperia V8. When I install it, it will brick my touchscreen. For a moment I thought it was because it's not rom for this device but...
No problem with aroma installer but when I restart the phone, no touch response. Even in CWM.

I used this "trick" : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2366426 on your other rom - Revolution ICS HD and it's working fantasticly.
I would really like to try your Viper Rom so should I adjust ViperRom in winrar as I did it with Revolution ICS HD to repair my TouchScreen?

I don't know where the fault can be.

I was using extended ICS stock kernel
I have Xperia mini pro - Mango - SK17i

Edit: the rom was edited by the guidance from above and touchscreen is good. Discovering if it's a good rom now

I have been using this rom for a long time nw so i knew it was nt a problm with the rom. Fixed it anyway.. It was due to WiFi.. Fixed nw..

Downloaded v8 today and I must say... it's BEAUTIFUL!! It's been long since I've been on ICS and today I thought of switching to this rom and I am impressed!! However, the default systemUI included in v8 has blurry icons (signal/battery/sdcard etc) because I guess those icons have been ported from HDPI... Missing those crisp and clear icons present in default systemui and even in serajr's systemui. Now I know that I can easily flash any systemui of my choice..but the problem is with the STATUS BAR PREFERENCES options in "settings>viper xperia advanced settings". If I flash/replace the included systemui with serajr's one then that option is useless... because serajr's systemui has its own systemui-preferences chhoser.

So my request is-- 1> Either please provide a Settings.apk which does not have the STATUSBAR PREFERENCES option under "settings>viper xperia advanced settings"... or 2> Please provide us a systemui with mdpi icons/default icons.

And once again, it's just a request... I respect the dev's decision and his hard work. This rom is flawless and extremely beautiful...starting from transition animations to the transparent UI/framework... But the systemui is not looking good.

Wish to hear from dev... Or better if someone can upload the systemui of previous version which has better icons and can be controlled via the option in settings.
