• If you are experiencing issues logging in, we moved to a new and more secure software and older account passwords were not able to be migrated. We recommend trying to reset your password, then contacting us if there are issues.
  • Nearly done! Migration cleanup is mostly done. There are a small number of issues left that we continue to work on, but all the heavy lifting is done. We still would love to hear feedback over at this thread and also check out the new XDA app! Thanks and we hope you enjoy the new forums, and thanks for your support of XDA <3

Introduction

INSANITY is a custom android operating system this time based on SLIM roms. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.

This ROM was made after huge requests to the real developer. ETHAN was banned from xda due to some reason.

Installation instructions

To flash your ROM:

Reboot your phone into Recovery mode.

Head to the "Install" or "Install ZIP from SD Card" section of your recovery.

Navigate to the ZIP file you downloaded earlier, and select it from the list to flash it.

Wait for the process to complete; it may take a few minutes.

Depending on your situation, you may also need to wipe your data and/or cache. In TWRP, you'll find this under the "Wipe" section, and in ClockworkMod, you'll need to either choose the "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" option or the "Wipe Cache Partition" option. When you're done, you're free to reboot into your new ROM.

Note
Welcome to Insanity. The mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a another rom. You will find versions of the features you love that this is cherry picked and improved . Here developer tried to achieve a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.

If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
I myself is not responsible for this master piece. All credits are gone to Ethan
Features

Based on Custom Kernel

Custom made by Ethan Jhonson. Lots of tweaks great performance and so far great battery too
Features
New kernel with plenty of tweeks. using franco's mako hotplug compiled with ubertc gcc 6.0 -O3 and plenty more optimizations Zram tweeked for better performance and battery life is very good in his(Ethan) tests the past few days. rom is also now built with ubertc gcc 4.9
How to take Kernel Logs
Install minimal adb installer if you don't have it. I prefer system wide. Google it.

FAQ
The FAQ section in a thread is bound to grow over time, but it may be small to start with, so whether or not you you should hide part of this section is up to you, but you will likely need the most urgent questions in direct view. If questions are short and the answer tends to be long you may choose to hide the answers but not the questions.

Q: DO'S
A: Use normal sized text for any paragraph of texts
A: Paragraphs of text should be black, no exceptions
A: Images are nice, but keep them proportional to your text
A: Use a title -> paragraph stucture, a short and clear title (a subtitle if needed) and put information in the paragraph

Q: DON'TS
A: Don't use big font's, unless you use them to create titles.
A: Don't center your text, this breaks the reading flow
