Tutorial: How I made this Custom Rom​

Just an idea: I will write down everything here how I made this Custom Rom. So it will be easier for me and - maybe - for others to use it again.

For a common users, updates, corrections, mods are more useful.

This is true - if you are only a user. If you want to understand and not only want to consume it would be nice if there were some explanations of what to do. If someone only uses his device then he shouldn't change anything and XDA might be the wrong place.

My hope: if I start a tutorial like this - even if very simple and with a lot of mistakes - more people might add a little of their knowledge and the tutorial grows in size and more important in quality.
And I do not claim to do something new or important - I recycle existing knowledge and place it here for the Note.

Let's see if people like it, use it and help.

I like your thinking on making this Rom, stripping it bare and then adding fixes, corrections as necessary, this should result in a fast clean Rom with few problems and should get better over time, well done.

Since most of the apps being removed..can we get it from Google Play or Samsung Apps store?

I don't know and I will not check.
But I will ad a zip with the deleted apps so you can restore the apps you need. Will take 1 or 2 hours...

Hello,
I make a correction for keyboard (AZERTY & QUERTZ error in multi-Windows)
CWM_SamsungIME.zip
Flash in CWM.

I also modified the SystemUI for 1% of the battery and changing the icons:
CWM_Bettery1.zip
(Includes correction keyboard)

ONLY FOR ODEXED LSC !

I just read this last, important line - please remove the zips because this Rom is deodexed. Put your zips in a thread here for an odexed Rom ok?

Wenn ich mir für die Thanks was kaufen könnte, wär ich richtig geil drauf. Eine kurze "handgeschrieben" Nachricht ist doch mindestens ebenso schön!

Added zip (Torrent) with the removed apps

In Op I added a link to the torrent with the removed apps. So if you need one, you can add it to /system/apps (change permissions if you do). No support here.

I was looking for how to work with kitchen today. But, I couldn't install it! Maybe I did something wrong. Then I saw your thread and really made me happy. :good:
I just installed Cygwin according to your instructions but when I click on the icon, nothing happens (actually command prompt appears for a sec and then disappears) would you please help me out in this?
