After reflash start to work again, dont know why but?? thankx anyway

Can i install beats audio ?

It happens with me when i try to flash mod via cwm but that is fine because after you finish flashing and checking your preloaded apps you can always compare what you have on your phone with the original .zip on your PC, just extract it and compare both folders Data/app and system/app with the original folders on your PC then you can copy the missing apps and edit the permission and there you have all your apps on your beloved note :D

i dont know about beats audio but im happy with Play Music.

Check your battery age

I experienced a massive battery drain lately on the "Stock deodexed and rooted XXLSA" and naturally attributed it to the ROM. Out of frustration, reverted to the stock ICS ROM (DDLRB) but the drain remained same. Used BetterBatteryStats and all other means to identify what is causing the drain but couldn't find any rogue app. Even tried disabling all sync and background apps. No luck.

Suddenly attention turned to the battery itself. Temporarily swapped a battery from a colleague who just bought a Note a few weeks back. VIOLA! I have a great battery life and the colleague with the new phone was facing massive drain.

Bought a new battery from the Sammy service center for Rs.720 (USD 13) and am back in business. Re-flashed XXLSA and getting 11 hrs of normal use (Exchange email, Gmail, Whatsapp, Google Now and Twitter with occasional FaceBook and browsing).

Rule of Thumb: If your Note is older than 8 months, time to get a new battery.

Installed and testing

I've just downloaded this ROM and now I am installing... I was already on the stock XXLSA which I downloaded from SamMobile.com and flashed and rooted with Mobile Odin. I cannot wait to see the difference between the original stock ROM and deodexed stock ROM...

Thanks eybee

Edit:
After several hours of testing, not being a developer nor a programmer, I honestly still can't find any difference between this ROM and the original one.
Silly question: what are we to expect from this ROM with respect to the original one?

Original vs deodexed

As you can see in thread title its said.
Stock means original and rooted so instead of going through the steps to root this one is ready.

Hi,
If you refer to my post, then YES, I know the difference between original stock and rooted, actually this is what I wrote in my original post, that I was on the stock leak from SamMobile and I rooted that ROM. My question is:
What would be the difference in terms of performance between the stock ROM (rooted or not rooted it does not matter) and this deodexed ROM? What should we expect? I do not mean to offend anyone, I am just curious to know because I am not as expert as I should be :)

Happy new year everybody

You did not offend my friend.

This rom is exactly like the one on sammobile and others but so far no bugs or issues found. Battery is good and all features are fine. Still you got root :D

Happy new year to you too

Oh indeed? I think what he asked was something else.

Mike, here's your answer. Hope it helps you understand better.

I've just flashed this rom and everything seems to be fine. Coming from ultimate and couldn't handle it because of its battery drain issue.
Hope this one should be better.
Thx mate.

Came from JellyBeen_eybee1970.zip to this. Battery life is...disappointing. Lost 40% last night while i slept (7 hours). A lot worse off than i was with eybee1970.

Same apps. Should be way better, especially as Note now is used a lot less since i got my Tab 2 10.1 for media useage.

CPU spy showing plenty of deep sleep, 47%.
200Mhz, 34%.
Every other Mhz, below 9%.

Battery meter showing:
Android OS 26%
Device Idle 19%
Cell Standby 16%
Screen 11%
Maps 7%
Mediaserver 6%
