The TF700 is saddled with cheap and very slow emmc, which is responsible for most of the lag you experience.
The ones most people seem to use are the Scandisk Ultra and the Samsung Evo. YMMV
At the same price you can find Kingstone Micro SDHC UHS-I Speed Class 3 U3 that run much faster (maybe an overkill at 90 / 80 Mb/s). It's any risk of incompatibility with TF700, in order to install data2SD?

The transfer rates stated by the OEMs seem pure fiction to me. Maybe they get those speeds under test conditions with systems tuned to work with that particular card. The only way to find out is to test it on your system. But I can pretty much guarantee that you won't see anything close to 80 or 90 mbs on this tablet. The chip won't support it.

My read speed is around 52Mbs and write speed is around 15Mbs on my setup using SD Card Tester app....:) Go figure it out....;)
I also used SD Card Tester and I think the best write speed I ever got was 23 MBs on the Samsung Evo. The Scandisk also maxed out around 15 for me.
I doubt that you'll ever see anything near 50 for write on this tablet...

I am very sure that my write speed never reach upto 50Mbs... The best that I can get is around 16Mbs but it is average around 15Mbs for the write speed. However, my read speed is around 50Mbs and I can get it as high as 68Mbs on some of my setup but my write speed is a way to low to meet my needs...:D

Do you mean your read speed is around 23Mbs?

Is anyone else having issues with network-based location detection in Google Maps? It works in every other app (yes, network-based location services are enabled for Maps) and just started being an issue somewhat recently (last few Maps updates).

I've even re-installed completely (the latest version of CROMi-X) and it still doesn't work with Maps. It does work if enable the GPS readio though, so the problem seems to be specifically with Maps and network-based location services only.

Thanks!

Try moving the maps .jar file out of /system/framework

Put it somewhere safe just in case you need it back - I think the latest google maps has its own version.

I'm currently playing with a Nexus 9 as a replacement of my TF700 (which I reflashed to 5.4, as this gives the smoothest experience for me).

I would like to thank Sbdags and all contributors to this rom for making the TF700 a usable piece of hardware for me since its release, much appreciated! Keep up the good work!

Sent from my GT-I9505G using XDA Free mobile app

Ive noticed that as time has gone by, my tablet as become unresponsive to the touch and it lags a lot when this happens. Could this be a hardware problem or a software problem? Im not a heavy user, just barely use, and its never been dropped or damage. Suggestions? (I'm using data to SD).

Any Android ROM - or any OS for that matter - will slow down over time. You could have a hardware problem, after all these devices do not last forever. But you should try a toally clean installation to clear out any accumulated crud.
* back up all your data
* update your recovery (and bootloader if necessary) to the latest version
* enter recovery through the bootloader menu
* format data in recovery - note that in TWRP 2.7+ this can take 90 minutes or so. Do not interrupt it! Also note that for data2sd you have to flash data2sd1.zip first to orient TWRP towards the external partition
* this would be a good point to try f2fs as your file system on data. TWRP will convert it for you under the Advanced menu
* reflash the latest version of your rom

I have a lazy-man's question here.... This rom seems to run the least laggy on my tablet of all the roms, even on the plain stock kernel with internal data... but I'd like to experiment with the various options. If my data is setup ext4 now, is there a way to restore it to a extSD / f2fs partition? I know the backups in TWRP are called xxx.ext4.xx etc, is it possible to just rename the data backup xxx.f2fs.xxx and run data2sd then restore the backup to a partitioned extSD card?

I would need to update the kernel scripts to be f2fs compliant. However you if you flash _that v11 after restoring it should work.

I haven't heard the cache2SD kicked around for a long time... any reason to think that would be helpful for us? I read the link in your OP but not sure it's worth the trouble... or what would be the best way to do that with a data2sd install. Would that just be as simple as setting up two ext4 partitions and one fat32 on the extSD card? If so, could you guesstimate what a good size would be for them? I seem to remember twrp reporting the cache as pretty minimal - like 7-10mb tops.

Just spotted this. If you have data2sd or rom2sd then you already have cache2sd. :) All it does is move /data/data/app/cache to SD. ;)

Midi keybord support?

This rom is working wonderful for me. Have everything setup perfect. Was wondering would it be hard to ad USB Midi support? Tried using the 40 pin usb with no luck to my midi keyboard controller. Is the Micro USB HDMI port only for HDMI or can it be used for other things? Anyone have any luck connecting to a Midi External keyboard? Thanks so kindly for your thoughts..
