Another question.

How do you install su on the rom ?

It doesn't seem to be preinstalled
I'm already on 5/27 rom with my US 1/8 1900 TS. I also have TWRP installed using MKTools, but I don't have root. Can I still install this FW? What would be the advantage other than gaining root? Are there any performance advantages since I'm already on the newest FW?

Thanks for keeping this project alive!
If you are already on the latest ROM or do not have SU/su binary installed, download the script-only and run that.

kuronosan,

I've tried to flash my TS but ended up soft bricking it. I've got a back up which I'm now trying to flash. SPF Tool gets to the end of 'download da 100%' but then does nothing else.

Using USBDeview I can see the TS connecting, disconnecting and then reconnecting etc.

Is this why it will not flash ? If so want do I need to do to stop this? If not want else do I need to do?

If you could spare any of your time that would be appreciated.
To better help I need to know:

1) When you received your watch
2) What firmware you were running
3) What firmware you flashed
4) When the error occurred

Thanks for the prompt reply. Just so I understand, when I run the run.bat script am I supposed to be running the MTKtools app? Or do I just connect the TS to my PC with USB debugging enabled and drivers installed then just run the script without any apps running first?

Newp. All you need to do is make sure USB debugging is enabled, then you run the script after plugging your watch in. You may need to factory reset afterwards, but if you're unlucky enough to have a watch that doesn't have a functional recovery (because the stock recovery they included probably isn't packaged properly) you'll have to do without one.

Check your version after running the update script. If it says 0706 you're good to go.

Went without a hitch. Cool boot animation. I'm digging the Android Wear reference. Going to drop a lil somethin in your coffers.

Thanks Again!

Just went for a run and half way around I realised that I didn't include any useful details!

Received during May.

TS had 140513 firmware.

I'm the one on G+ that got excited Sunday night and tried flashing the pre may update.

The error occurred during the flash. I realised what I done and tried flashing the correct one.

I've had the back off a number of times, been trying to flash my back up, searching here and G+ for an answer since Sunday but had to now bother you with it !

4) Flash the firmware 4.1) Download corresponding firmware archive and unpack it 4.2) Open folder "All Tools" -> "2 SP Flash Tool" 4.3) Run "flash_tool.exe"; don't mind the scatter file warning 4.4) On "Download" tab click "Scatter-loading" 4.5) Navigate to the folder with firmware (from step 4.2) 4.6) Select file "MT6572_Android_scatter.txt"[/QUOTE said:
i cant find the scatter file, despite checking through every folder. When i do a search , only the backup one shows up. How do I get the scatter file please?

Grab the patch download. Flash that. Tell me the results. What error are you seeing? It just stops at the red bar?

If that happens, pull the battery and try again.

The file should be in the folder with the firmware that you need to flash. (Not the "All Apps" folder)
I've downloaded the file "TS-EU-0706-May_Shipment.rar", extracted it to folder "TS-EU-0706-May_Shipment" and in this folder I can see a file "MT6572_Android_scatter.txt" - that's the one you need.

But please do note that the guide isn't completed yet and I didn't receive an answer on how to proceed. I would also suggest someone with more experience to verify that the guide is correct.

Let me look over it.

Yep. Pretty accurate. You don't have to pack the firmware but it's fine.

Download the patch and flash those files. Which one did you download?

Ok, pulled down the patch again and removed battery. Tried to flash and I'm getting error BROM Error : S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTING_FAIL (5054).

Is this trying to tell me I'm not using the right firmware?
