As I've been saying around the forums, including this thread (and one in Troubleshooting). Because we have lost our maintainers, so have we our roms....

PAC-ROM dropped us off their supported roms months ago.... Which is a real pity, considering Android (5.0) Lollipop is just around the corner....

We need to hope, that we find someone skilled enough to take over the project, so we can see PacRom on Android L for our device.....

Aye, agreed....

Whilst PAC-ROM 4.4.x wasn't my favorite version of PAC on various devices.... (ie: The JellyBean offered so much more). It was still a damn fine rom, and one that can still grow with each new version of Android.

It'd be a pity if we lost it forever.... Which is why I was calling out for any Dev's to take a look, and help pickup on some projects if possible....??

Please take a look at my post here, and comment on it, to bring it back to the top and raise more awareness, especially as Android 5.0 source is now available. I would love to do it, but just don't understand it personally...

But feel its a crying shame to miss out on such great roms...

There will NOT!!! be (Android L) PAC-Rom for N7000

Hi Guys,

As we know, PAC-Rom was discontinued for N7000 a while ago now... With no maintainer, no updates...

We had a place on the PACMan site, where our files used to be.... (albeit, they removed them, even for archive purposes??). I queried what happened to PAC for N7000 over the weekend, and although I wasn't informed who the maintainer was, was told no blind builds take place.

Went to have a look at PAC site today, and now they've even removed our folder....

We do not exist on PAC anymore, so will CERTAINLY WON'T be seeing PAC Lollipop for Android, unless we find a new maintainer??

Trust me, I would if I knew how....

I had a quick look the other day, and when I saw what was required.... Gulp!!!

... and then the fact you might have to pull 10gb+ worth of sources files down, on my superfast 1mb (yes, 1 / ONE mb) line here in the UK, I thought I'm not even gonna be able to get the source downloaded, let alone understand what to do with it, when I get it....

That's why, if we already have the talent, and the resources, those who have done it for other roms... Then hopefully we could utilise those expertise.....

Yeah, thought he might of updated it to the RC3 version... As I saw one of my other devices received an official RC3 version the other day.

I visited his site the other day, and grabbed some great roms from him, that no other person has released for our device. The only problem is trying to strip all the Chinese bloat / apps from his rom, make them more standard / internation, and then re-zip them up again. However keep failing at the Zipping up part...

Pity we can't get him over here, working on roms...

OK, I'll try to contact him and invite him. He makes pacman, crdroid , liquidsmooth roms for our device . He doesn't come here is a lose for us all.

Hi @mjrifath,

Type in PacMan rom RC3 i9220 into Google, and pick a site from the many Chinese sites that are hosting it....

However, be prepared to learn / speak Chinese... and you'll have to skip logging into the rom on setup, and replace the Keyboard with an English/International one after....

I'm trying to convert the many new additional roms this great guy is making, for my own personal use... But having problems re-packaging them... (I can't re-distribute them when I'm done either, as they don't belong to me).

I believe PengPengBack is going to try and get him to come over to XDA, as he will be awesome for our community... He has made roms, that no other person has.... They are great, just unfortunately have to much Chinese bloat in them for me....

Is it safe to flash i9220 rom on n7000. I have heaed both note devices are same. But I haven't tried any i9220 rom on my Note.

Have you done this...??

Update: Just visited to the site and found the link for PACMan 4.4 RC3 v4.0. When i go throu the rom section i found Developer has mentioned " Brush, brush, brush, at many places." So what is this "Brush", Any idea Lister.

Perfectly safe my good friend, flash many a chinese roms to this device, the worse that will happen....You'll have to learn Chinese!!! lol

But no, once flashed, skip logging in, as the Chinese keyboard won't allow you...

Then replace with Google Keyboard, remove anything Chinese... and ya good to go. I'm trying to remove all the Chinese from the rom, and re-pack it... But it fails to flash afterwards...
