First of all, all credit goes to ivendor because these ROM's are based on his work so if you like my ROM please go to invedor's thread and press the thanks button.

These are also my first custom ROMs.

These three versions are:

ErikMod Simple (for normal users)
ErikMod Medium (for users who want more performance at the cost of some functions)

ErikMod Medium v2
from v2, VOIP should be fixed

Battery Life [***]
Performace [**]
Functions
[*]
This is ErikMod RC2 as users know it. This version is meant for users who want more RAM memory (400MB) at the cost of some features like 720p video recording, HW decoder, YouTube HD.
Everything works as it should except the features enumerated before.
Diablo Kernel 2.6 High Performance is included.

ErikMod HardCore v2.1
3.0.62 ErikMod Kernel included

Battery Life [***]
Performance [***]
Functions [***]

This version is for users who want the best performance, 3.0 kernel, Vsync and stability.

First of all, all credit goes to ivendor because this ROM is based on his work so if you like my ROM please go to invedor's thread and press the thanks button.

This is also my first custom ROM.

Working list:
Audio
Receiving and making calls
GPS
Compass
Proximity sensor
Wifi
Bluetooth
USB mass storage
HW accelerated gui
HW accelerated video
Camera
BLN
USB/Wifi tethering

Not working list:
Vsync (will be partially working from the next build)

The aim of this ROM is to bring out the best battery life and better performance.

Features:

based on ivendor's alpha 6
amazing battery life due to battery tweaks
performance tweaks
less battery drain when using 3G network due to the RIL changes made by arco68(also included in the ROM)
and a lot more system tweaks to improve stability, gaming performance and battery (check int.d for a full list of tweaks)
broodKernel 1.4 OC version.

INSTALATION
1.Download ROM from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?0c8v9cxiz0m62w9 and I suggest using Brahmnoor's gapps: gapps (you can use ivendor's JB gapps too)
2.Boot into recovery (TWRP or CWM)
3.FORMAT SYSTEM
4.Wipe data&cache&dalvik cache
5.Flash the ROM and the gapps
6.Fix permissions
7.Reboot

Main targets for the next build:
Vsync
Photosphere Panorama
Ported Gapps from Android 4.2
Android 4.2 features such as keyboard and much more.
and much more to come.

Possible bug:
1.Users might experience extremely rare soft-reboots after installing some apps from the Play Store. I looked up for this problem after I had a soft-reboot on ivendor's alpha 5 and found out that is broodKernel. I also found a fix for it:
If for some reason your phone reboots after installing an app simply reboot into recovery, clear the caches and fix permissions.
2.If after a few days of using this ROM,your phone starts lagging a bit boot into recovery and clear the caches, this shall solve the problem.

Credits:
ivendor (for ROM source)
arco68 (RIL changes)
Brahmnoor (some tweaks and gapps link)
alireza7991 (some tweaks)
theos0o (YouTube HD)
and others I might forgot.

Good luck in your new ROM :)

Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium

Will do. Tomorow night I'll post those screenshots. I'm now going to flash the beta1 back and use it normaly with 3G, WiFi and some games. Until now I've been testing the next build with 3.0 Kernel and USB seems to work rare times. Like 1 out of 5 tries.

REALLY?
That would be great. With working USB, I will use 3.0.55 kernel again.

Yes . I worked with a friend of mine who also helped me with the ROM. The kernel I used it's based on ICS CAF from ivendor's github. But rembember, the build based on the 3.0 kernel is still very unstable with a lots of reboots and system shutdowns. At the and of the week I will publish the 3.0 build but it will be a test relase just for you guys to see the progress. And I will focus more on the beta1 with 2.6 kernel to port those Android 4.2 features.

Our phone don't have giroscopy :D

Inviato dal mio GT-I9001 con Tapatalk 2

Hey, let's not spam this thread.
Photosphere CAN work with accelerometer too. This has been discussed in another thread before. There are some mobs with working photosphere without gyroscope.
You can search and find out more.

Thanks ! But we will never have photosphere....the don t have giroscope

    Live Android and Prosper...

It will work, there must be a way. Even mounting gyroscope in accelerometer may be a solution.
On the GT-i9000 Galaxy S it's already working because they have cyanogenmod 10.1 and 3.0 kernels with almost everything working, and that phone doesn't have gyroscope either.
I will do my best to port it, for me nothing is impossible.
    Thank you for you'r feedback.

    3.0.60 Kernel ready - HardCore v2 ready

    Hello everyone!

I manged to switch back to 3.0.60 kernel, and add all my features to it. Download link in the OP.
As I promised, I uploaded the ErikMod HardCore v2 with vsync activated and many other features (check OP and 3rd post for full Changelog).
It is based on ivendor's alpha 7 because I managed to fix the stability related problems from it. (CPU stuck at max, huge battery drain and so on).
Fell free to test and provide feedback.
In the end, I would like to thank Diablo for his sources and his help, without him, I would probably never managed to get a fully working 3.0 Kernel.
So, :good: Diablo, you are a great dev ;)

    Regards,
    Erik
