No idea if its possible to compile under mac os x. If there is a cygwin mac os x edition then it should be portable atleast if there is nothing native!

Yes follow the steps on source.android.com: http://source.android.com/source/initializing.html
Last part is about the mac.

Thats the part of the meta-inf script that checks you're phone model.
Are you sure you got the international galaxy note (n7000)
Anpother thing could be that there is just a bug in the meta-inff file
Would be helpful if u could also update the title of the first post with the change date..

btw, how's A2DP experience, anybody ? for me somewhat inconsistent, i got it working with samsung headset, but not with my car. and no media sound through phone speaker, all players i tried, nothing, nada, though that doesn't bother me at all
Is it im the only one who facing this problem?? My dock icon setting cannot change click that thing then thats only cant go to the setting...

I'm using this rom as my daily driver obviously, but it all depends on your needs, patience and understanding! this rom is far from being complete! The main issue is mem leak that has been discussed over and over again! Read on the dev and user thread linked in OP!

Status 7 error
What on earth is a status 7 error and how do i get around it? I was trying to install the latest version (v2), but install stops with status 7 msg. The zip is not corrupt - i downloaded twice. Worse, it corrupts the existing install and the phone does not boot past the initial screen.
Am coming from asylum jb preview 2.

Method 1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1789397 download and flash 20120811 cm10 kernel or preview #3 cm10 kernel then advanced -> reboot recovery and then flash 20120811-V2
Method 2: Try flashing 20120811 and advanced -> reboot recovery then flash 20120811-V2
