Sounds like filesystem corruption due to the improper shutdown. I don't know if there's a way to fsck an internal filesystem. You might have to format it from 4ext and reflash.

LordNerevar: Thanks for replying! I managed to be able to run a Nandroid data only backup through 4Ext. The backup runs, but then I get a message at the end of the backup saying "could not mount /data". There IS a Nandroid backup file there that is created, but when I reformatted everything and did a wipe and re-installed the ROM, when I went to restore the Nandroid backup in Recovery it indicates it is restoring it with no issues, after it is done I boot up the ROM and my data is not there........

You really think all my data got corrupted because of the improper shut down? Another guy in this thread posted the exact same problem but he didn't get even one reply back

It would seem that way. Check the size of the data.ext4.tar file in your clockworkmod/advanced/data folder of your sdcard. You can try copying that file to your PC and see if it's valid but I'm guessing it's not.

S2W would require an updated kernel, not a rom update.

Instagram in Blinkfeed is part of Sense 5.5, Ivicask already said it's very difficult to port blinkfeed/prism stuff.

Well I certainly hope not just instagram be in Blinkfeed, but any rss feed be available to customize on Blinkfeed (ex. reddit, buzzfeed, and cracked). Being forced to read a limited bias news is atrocious.

@ivicask, i dunno if this is a rom bug or if this needs fixing, but, i notice sound volume is low on this rom compared to Sense 4+ vipers. even the level 1 volume on those were audible enough for ringtones and others. But on this rom i have to set volume like at the middle. Like this:

Its not a bug, sound levels are 100/100 same as on Stock HTC sense 3.6 ROMS.

Not loud enough? Lol than dont use step 1...use step 2, or use max volumes, still not enough? Well wait for Xloud to be implemented, you should know this already.

You need to overwrite /system/etc/pnp.xml with the one you want from the ROM.zip
If your still not sure, tell me cpu/gpu frequency you want and I'll upload it for you.

Yeah I just looked at it quickly on phone but I'll look at updater script too a bit later, I'm sure it didn't work for me either some time ago but will try again later too. I always test with terminal and/or ES explorer manually for checking frequencies.

Edit: I had a look at the updater script too and it seems fine to me but I tried changing profiles with aroma and it's just not working for me and I'm not sure why either. Also the prop files in /system/aroma/max_cpu_freq.prop and max_gpu_freq.prop are the ones I selected in aroma to apply. I'm must be missing something...

No, but maybe possible if you disable pnp manager in tweaks in next update if kernel supports 192. 384 is a good low min frequency though which is what it is now and stock ever since ICS came out for our device.

I'm all set to flash ViperS 5.0 on my HTC Sensation XE -

Stock ROM 4.0.3 rooted S-ON,
Stock Kernel
Firmware - 3.33
HBOOT - 1.29.0000 Unlocked
4EXT Touch Recovery 1.0.0.6 RC1 - SmartFlash ON

Have taken -
1] NANDROID backup
2] Titanium backup
3] all other concerned backups (Music, Pictures...etc.)
4] Checked MD5 Sums of zips on SD card.

Should I first wipe Cache, Dalvik, Data/Factory Reset from 4EXT menu or directly start installing ViperS ROM?

While installing the ROM zip, which of the following (or all) available wipe options should I use -
(without formatting my SD Card)

1] Superwipe EXT3 (all partitions)
2] Superwipe EXT4 (all partitions)
3] Format system
4] Wipe data / factory reset
5] Format cache
6] Wipe dalvik cache
7] Fix permissions afterwards
8] Display md5sums before install
9] Stay inside recovery after completion

And as I'm coming from Stock HTC ROM, I think I will have to use kernel flasher zip too....

Should I wait to see if I get boot-loop or some other issue after installing ROM, or I can simply flash the kernel after installing ROM using 9th option above.

Just use the full wipe option in the installer of rom and do use venom kernel flasher as your outdated version of 4ext smartflash probably won't work.

Everything works fine. If you're S-ON, just flash kernel manually using Venom Kernel Flasher, fastboot, or recovery with enabled smart flash feature.

My screen stay like this yesterday, but was fixed when i reboot my device. It is normal? Any1 more get this problem?

It maybe stuck pixels.. it happens due to aging or dirt on screen. There are many software to resolve it like screen pixel fixer.

Someone already fix this problem, i forget what did he do. Cmiiw, u should flash graphic n video fix .zip. Just look 10-20pages back.

I'll try it if this problem happen again, for while my screen is fine again. I'm using this ROM for 1 month and only now i get this problem, maybe be a temporaly bug. I hope
