Battery drain

It seems that CM10 battery drain is evident respect CM9.
I configured cpu setting in cryptomik kernel at the same way in cm9 b5 and cm10 and screen brigthness to the minimum.
It depends on JB project butter or we can do something in setting?
I have overcloked cpu since cm9 without problem, but maybe it influence also gpu and with project butter battery drain is more evident.

After trying CM9 and going back to CM7.2 (HomICS), I am trying CM10 now. Results:

- after installation phone booted in Dutch, WOW, nice
- Link2SD is not working, even after several reboots, so I switched to S2E JellyBean version
- Green light when fully charged! Nice too
- System is 100% full, now trying to free some space (any suggestions?)
- Restoring apps from Titanium Backup, seems to go very well

Will try GPS, voice search (does Jeanny work?) later today.

For freeing system memory i've uninstalled the movie studio as i don't ever use it. Got about 5M free. Other option is to uninstall keyboard and reinstall one from market as user app

Impressive! / some test-results

Zeuba, this is really impressive!

The ROM is very smooth, and seems really promising so far (tested a few hours), I might be able to use it full time.

I'll be making a custom ROM based on this one to optimise app storage space.

A (near?) show stopper I found is that the alarm does not work. Logcat gives the following when I press the clock:
Code:
...
E/Trace ( 1781): error opening trace file: No such file or directory (2)
I/ActivityThread( 1781): Pub com.android.deskclock: com.android.deskclock.AlarmProvider
I/ActivityThread( 1781): Pub com.android.deskclock.timers: com.android.deskclock.TimersProvider
E/SQLiteLog( 1781): (1) no such column: incvol
D/AndroidRuntime( 1781): Shutting down VM
W/dalvikvm( 1781): threadid=1: thread exiting with uncaught exception (group=0x40ace300)
E/AndroidRuntime( 1781): FATAL EXCEPTION: main
E/AndroidRuntime( 1781): java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to start activity ComponentInfo{com.android.deskclock/com.android.deskclock.AlarmClock}: android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: no such column: incvol (code 1): , while compiling: SELECT _id, hour, minutes, daysofweek, alarmtime, enabled, vibrate, message, alert, incvol, profile FROM alarms ORDER BY hour, minutes ASC
...
I tried wiping the data belonging to the clock, without effect.

[EDIT]
Somehow after wiping clock/alarm data and restoring it using TB a few times the alarm started working normally. What exactly happened I don't know...
[/EDIT]

Another issue I found is that the "settings" screen of the Gallery remains empty (I was hoping to access picasa link settings through it), but I guess I'll be dumping the Gallery anyway in favour of Justpictures and Quickpic

Cheers

run it again and reboot.
No, it was mot because rebooting, i rebooted it. The thing is command is trackballwake and i kept trying trackballwakeup. And on the terminal emulator you can run it straight from root, without going to system/bin

For silly guys like me, if any, CMUpdater is under Settings-->About Phone:p

Anyone tried successfully to change density?

works fine by and large, no s2e though

did the hboot upgrade and official unlock just to try this, looks great so far! Unfortunately s2e refuses to run, and apps on sd-ext is a must for me, the legend just has too small a data partition. But keep up the great work!

In CM9 there was this awesome data graph where you could see how much data you had used. Is it in CM10? And if so: where is it? If not: why is it not there? And I could I install it with an .apk or something?
As reported in the issue list by zeubea, data usage is not yet implemented, CM10 is a work in progres not yet in RC.

There's a special JB s2e, which you can find when using Google! I got it working. Well a friend of mine got it working on my phone :)

As this is an unofficial port of cm10 any missing features, I would believe haven't been put in by the cm team yet? Unless zeubea hasn't ported them across yet. geesh, give the man a chance from what ive seen he's one of the busiest developers atm, working hard to bring you his wounderful work, patience please.

Still using CM10 and liking it more and more. I removed some sysapps to free memory and I have about 7M free. GPS seems to work better than in CM7.2.

I think that CM10 is pushing the Legend to its limits, sometimes it is unresponsive. Does anybody else have this too?

However, Zeubea thanks a lot for this ROM, I think I will stick to it!

Hello,
My experience using all the ICS versions (except beta 5) and now I've tried jellybean alpha 3 for almost a week is that even only in alpha stage, zeubea has created an even more stable and responsive ROM than ever.
Pushing the limits of legend, I would tend to agree, esspcialy with the limited ROM space available its getting rather tight now, my prediction is legend will not get android V5 krispy kream :D

I would like to report that my attempts to get spirit FM working with jellybean alpha 3 have been unsuccessful, looks to me like some sort of an issue with Bluetooth chip device support, as some of you know, the Bluetooth chip, broadcom I believe, also has the FM radio linked to it and needs to be turned on in order for it to work, however sprit FM doesn't turn it on like it did before and I can't seam to find the Bluetooth option in the settings like before. I would not know which is at fault, sprit FM or the ROM itself.

P.s. turning Bluetooth on manually did not help here.

Edit:- a word of warning too, trying to use spirit FM also messes up the music/audio output after you close down spirit FM by making the audio output into mono channels and also seams to decrease the quality of future music/audio by changing the playback sample rate frequency eg. 44khz down to 22khz or something like that, which then requires a reboot to restore it back to normal.

just FYI guys/girls.

I just installed Spirit FM 90.5 Tampa app, after unsuccessful attempt with Spirit FM app. It doesn't switch on Bluetooth, but runs well. Funny you listen to this station, I listen to it on my WII...

Edit: looks like another Spirit FM. Nice music as well though. Just curious: you live in Australia, Spirit FM is broadcasting in the States?

Dialler issue

Hmm. I'm having an issue with the dialler.

I get this swipe-to-do-stuff overlay, which I don't want there.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this? I can't press the hangup button, or any of the other options because of it :( *swiping to the red phone/green phone/text icons doesn't even do anything* I went through every setting I could think of and couldn't find it, so if anyone knows it would be much appreciated :)

edit: Rebooted phone and made another call and it's not there anymore. So strange!

Installed the alpha 3 yesterday. Had quite a bit of reboots. Mainly due to configuring the phone.

Unfortunately tb is causing a reboot on each restore. But that's the only thing!:D

Very stable since end of configuration. Linked2SD working well (had to free up some systemspace to get it working) Will try some other things today. Great work again mr. Zuebea

Audio implementation

I don't know if what I noticed could be useful to zeubea for considerations related to device implementations or is something related to cyanogenmod , but I reported as is.
I use a sip client, CSipSimple, that can use for audio, "standard" implementation or opnesl-es one.
In CM9 both are ok, in CM10 I can use only the "standard".
The app has no problem on other JB implementation on other devices as reported from users.

What did you do to get Link2SD working? I couldn't get it to work. And what governor are you using? I was using SmartassV2, but it looks like it slows my phone down. I am using OnDemand now.
