K, I setup CWM and installed the ROM. Nice thus far but have an issue ATM.
1) I can't install paranoid preferences.apk. Tried multiple times from Root Explorer and it fails at the end with "app not installed".

FYI, I had a problem saving a custom wifi network, but I rebooted to CWM and fixed perms. Upon reboot, it looks like that worked.

Thanks again.

EDIT:
Found some instructions that worked for me on the .apk. Taken from here

"You need to move the PA Prefs app to /system/app then set its permissions to rw-r--r--
PA removed the ability to install this app since the sigs are gone in their new update. I also cannot include it in the normal ROM zip as it has to be added post-compilation (as it is closed source). So for now, until something changes via PA, this is how it will have to be!"

Some additional notes;
1) For some reason ( and I saw reference to this somewhere else in the T forums), with this ROM the headphone jack detection is borked. Plugging in headphones does not result in a switch to them, rather the speaker keeps playing.

2) Having an issue getting some apps to download their additional content. My example is swiftkey, which requires a language file download upon install. It always fails saying there is no wifi network connected.

3) Not sure if this is standard behavior or not... I don't believe it was on default ROM - when Bluetooth headset is connected, ringtone volume on speaker does not adjust up or down, always stays the same. Adjusting the volume on the BT headset changes volume only on the headset. Connectivity seems to work fine tho.

1. Will be fixed in the next release

2. Weird - will investigate

3. I think that was changed in jellybean - after all it does make more sense to do it that way.

Second issue is the same some other people and I had with CM10 - it's discussed in its own thread with some workarounds.

Thanks T!

One other thing... I noticed today on a call that proximity doesnt work right when pulling the phone away from ear. Rhe screen stays black, and it was hard to wake. I found holding the power button works okay sometimes.

I think I saw some posts in the CM10 thread about that too ;) Actually - I had the same problem with CM10 this morning, but I guess the devs are already aware.

I've tried it for a while, but it wasn't perfect. Phone was switching off with no reason. Another thing was the sound. I think it was only one channel. And no sound in the headset. Maybe I did something wrong? What kernel are you using with this Rom?

Try the inverted paranoid. Think that is more up to date
