I just downloaded again, extracted and copied to the appropriate folder. The revovery tool is finding the image, but it still gives me an MD5 mismatch. What's wrong here, the files are dated 12/18/2010 12:21?
well your right threre as for the checksum error to be honest, I don't know, I did this last nite, and there was no problem, maybe jboogie has input. otherwise what are you using to extract the. rar? I used 7ZIP, maybe try that, could be the archive software messing up, sorry to see you have so much trouble
Just used 7zip to extract, it was winrar before. That's not the reason for the md5 mismatch. How do you connect to the device from PC. I just have this MotoConnect thing.

Beta 4 will be out on christmas day hopefully...im still working on it with someone else as well. Most likely it will no longer be beta! Just hold tight guys.

when you connect the usb, you'll get something in you notification bar, click on that, and it willl ask you how you want to connect media share ... etc, I choose Memory card access, then go to my computer in windows, select the device and go from there
I installed but didn't play around with the motoconnect, reminded me of the black berry phone interface.
Really I don't know if this is your problem, Jboogie, might have changed the link file, and its corrupt now.

font color doesnt match (or better said, it does nearly match the background..) all the time (but u can change that)
sms/mms wont work (+ error message on bootup)

apart from that it works flawless.

I finally managed to flash the Rom. The md5 error was caused by moving the files on sdcard, but a direct copy to the target folder did the job.
Nice Rom btw, however SMS service is failing. Also I'm wondering, is MotoBlur hopefully entirely gone, it says "you need motoblur to do this" at some stage in contact.

first of all, thanks for your work. I installed beta 4 from your twitter and sms/mms app is not working at all.
I like this rom, but my clock in the notification bar is black. The problem is that the background of the notification bar is black, too. So i can't see what time it is. Is there any way to change the colour?
Hey you still stuck with that unrootable uk rom? Bounce that phone off the wall and have tmo send you a new one lol, because your beta 4 is egarly anticpated

For some reason I can't get this to install.
I'm in CMR, I go to restore and it says no files found. I've dropped the "beta3" folder onto the sdcard in the "goakprev/backup/" folder.
Am I missing something :/

Nevermind...I realized that the "goak" was a typo...It should be "goapk", lol. I happen to catch the name when in recovery
Been running this for the last few hours and have noticed a couple things. although my APN's are set up identical to my Nexus one, I'm not getting any GPRS. Under the test menu, it's saying that data is not subscribed. Which doesn't make any sense. I made sure data was enabled under data manager and under mobile networks.
I'm also noticing that all signal bars will disappear and I get the emergency calls only icon.
Widgets also seem to disappear, i.e fancy widgets.
I've tried wiping a couple times and still run into these issues. May have to go back to 2.21 or 2.34 but I really was hoping for a clean rom without any of the blur stuff
