I stopped telling everyone they are wasting their time with the so-called fix. At some point I realised that people obviously want something they can believe in and no matter what I tell them they will still rather believe than think (for some the fix that doesn't change anything even magically fixed their problems).

At first I refused to accept that. I still don't understand why users of technology built of reason and logic blindly believe everything people with no background in a topic or profound facts tell them.

Task-killers are one of said topics. Even blog entries of Android developers or theirs statements won't stop people from using task-killers. I'm not even an Android developer, so why should people believe me?

For those with somewhat sane minds I'm repeating my statements: The settings in the config file called "GPS fix" can't configure anything because there's not a single line of code that honours these values in the whole Android framework.

Ali ba, thanks for your response. However I still do not understand why there is an issue with GPS on Legend (and is it Legend specific). Would be great if you can tell us more about it. Is it triangulation algorithm?

I think ali ba is just trying to raise his post count or something. All that repeating is borderline spamming ;-p

But seriously, since we are guessing - my money is on a driver issue.

I'll finish off with saying that Legend is still the best looking smartphone (those bigscreen pda's ala iphone and galaxy, well they're not really smartphones IMO)

We never got any source code supporting the Legend's GPS version. So we are using a chimera built of sources supporting older and newer hardware. This is a bit problematic, it's only guessing how the hardware might work.

So if there are hardware quirks we'd have to address we can't because we don't have any documentation that tells us how to. Even worse, debugging a black box is always extremely hard to do.

So you are basically out of luck if GPS doesn't work reliably on your device.

Thanks Ali Ba for explaining why GPs is not working for legend, can I also assume that that is the same reason GPS with cyanogen on different hardware is also not working correctly?

10. jan 2012 version up!
I just wanted to say thank you for the efforts you have been making with these Nightlys, these are my current daily rom, been using them since 1st version, I haven't used anything else for a while, but might have a go at devils 4.03 shortly.

No problem. That's what the community is all about. Few more nightlies I guess, and then the 7.2 will be here. I hope Devils 4.03 will function properly. :p

I Confirm Titanium backup worked like a charm for me. I switched Blayo from Data2ext to a2sd with it with no issues. (only thing it does not restore is widgets of course).

Guys, anyone can make a summary of what is not working with this rom?
Thank you!!

Thanks again, this is a great rom, this is still currently my primary...
Only one thing that bugs the hell outs me is this GPS issue. It still will not lock, silly thing is when I flashed a rom for the wildfire, GPS was working excellent first time I tried, 4 seconds for lock, INSIDE my house.
Knowing this information is it possible some how take something from the WF rom to fix this one? Like GPS driver module or anything else? I don't have the link to the rom ATM, but there is a tread in legend general that covers the rom I used.

The only thing that doesn't work for me is GPS, no major issues I know of, there are some minor issues though.
If you turn on mobile data from quick settings, the power widget on desktop doesn't indicate correctly.
I don't like the method of selecting text with cyanogen.

New version up, with ICS rotation animations and ICS transitions included.
Great job
Thanks again for updates !!

two problems:
a) Sygic Mobile Navigator does not start, or rather finds it hard to start and then closes
it also happens to any of you?
b) the telephone keypad defoult does not allow the speed-dial?
the lack of t9 I have always used alternative apk, but now I would like to use the preinstalled.

Just a small new bug with the last version:
When I stop/snooze the alarm, the unlock button dissapears, and I can't unlock the phone, only option is to reboot the phone (power button works).
Anyone else experiencing this?
