I had same problem...but i realize now contacts are there. Go to contacts, menu --> contact settings and check your google account. If not checked you will not see your contacts.

I'm starting to test this ROM...for the moment, what i can say is i am incredibly surprised....it is really awesome... many thanks!

I had same problem...but i realize now contacts are there. Go to contacts, menu --> contact settings and check your google account. If not checked you will not see your contacts.

thx for your feedback, it's needed to improve this ROM, what he said was with beta1 which i use other contact app, this one it is needed to enable google account in its setting, i'll fix that soon. when CZ-Team release other update, i'll update beta3 with many fixes.

Thanks for your work, I am really interested in this rom it is really smooth and fast.
I am from Spain, I will try to help with translation.
Things I can report for the moment:
- in the clock and weather widget I cannot setup my city (Madrid) even by gps,
- yesterday I was so happy as GPS locked in seconds when started google maps (at home ) . Today it was not so quick.. .I will have to do more testing ,
- I cannot make calls directly from whatsapp. Says my device is not
Allowed (it worked on other roms)
- I cannot setup weather and news with my local news. Don't know how,
- untutu benchmark gave me best result ever

- after flashing this rom, I imported my apps using titanium. Any of the apps corrupted rom and was not able to start any more (I guess it was Swype), so I had to reflash rom.

I really like this rom. Thank you very much!

strange cos i try to replicate ur problem but i can call directly from whatsapp. If others is like that too i'll try to fix it.
about clockweather can't do anything cos the app author is chinese just install other weather clock that suit ur need, many in play store.

u can try translate the string.xml i posted in early post

this have new framework and stuff so backup from cm7 might corrupt here

for ur local news, open News & Weather > Settings > News settings > Select news topics > Custom topic > and type Spain create any custom news you like. It's cm7 stuff.

about translation for example
<string name="rd_subscribe_channel_succeed">Added to Home</string>
just translate "Added to Home" into your language, i mean anything between the string tag.

I have a ROM port which I want to overclock on boot so it's a bit faster and so I was wondering if you could tell me how you get it to do that. I mean like after you've flashed it it's automatically overclocked, not by using an app or something.

in my ROM find the file 40optimize in /system/etc/init.d/
just put in the same folder in ur target ROM

I think this is the best rom i have tried.... but it is not very robust...it is giving me a lot of work!!!

You must take real care with the rom, as any strange thing will break it (bootloops and not start any more).

I should have flashed it four times. Restoring from titanium is somehow breaking it.
Last break i had (phone hang on the www.mfunz.com boot animation) is due to setting up an image in the lockscreen! :-/

Hopefully next beta will make it more robust...anyway, i will keep using it, reporting things, trying to help with translation...to make it better.

i recommend you don't restore system data from titanium, cos different rom system app is different too, ummm are you reporting of beta2update1? if so that what it suppose to be it's experimental upgrader and thx for your cooperation too, have a nice day.

This rom is making me sweat, but i don't give up for the moment

I am still highly surprised by how it works from scratch. Really smooth and fast.

I just did my 'n' flash :-D It failed again after restoring using Titanium. But this time i was restoring a backup done from Mokee install and config So, really, looks MokeeOs and Titanium doesn't fit very well.

Any case, i did all wipes and reinstall beta2. Just installed Rom Manager and then update with your new Rom Upgrader. It went perfectly.

After restart, for any action it is asking me if complete the action using 'launcher' or 'screenLock'. I think you need to fix that.

- still time and weather widget cannot find my city (out of China),
- very bad thing, just taking a photo with camera is rebooting phone (at least with this beta2 upgrade1, phone is restarting, cause with beta2, using camera went to continues bootloops). I cannot make camera works
- the rest is working fine for me (basic things installed). Now i am gonna play with it. First to enable data2ext to have 1GB internal memory for applications and then start to install my apps. I am really scared! crossing fingers to have no problems this time!

- Just one more thing, why did you removed Solid Explore? i had no problems with that app. and i see it very powerful app.
