It was only some apps that search Acer for OTA updates. Something I should have removed sooner but Acer doesn't update this tablet anymore anyway.

CWM zip to re-enable the home capacitive key

I have attached a CWM zip file that will re-enable the capacitive home key. Just flash through recovery. No need to do any wipes, but you might want to do a nandroid backup just in case. I've also posted a zip for disabling the home button if you enable it and realize that you don't like it :p

hello hardslog, how did you get the I/O speed so high in this rom?
when you compare your quadrant score (no OC) with e.g. jellytime 4.1.2, you get few times higher I/O speed, but everything else is quite lower, especially CPU speed which is cca 2000 points lower...

is it the scheduler or the v6 or something else maybe?

Its likely an init.d script that I put in. One that tweaks EXT4 settings. Got most of my tweaks from here

It should work just fine on either ROM. I don't use either features myself but I know Bluetooth works without problem. HDMI should be fine because the ROMs are based on stock ROMs from Acer and I haven't stopped anything out that would cause it to not work.

Ok cool..I'll check them out.. I just ask because on stock ICS the Bluetooth streaming does not work for me.. it flat out won't stream slacker or Pandora..won't connect right or something.. .but HDMI works great..and on CM its the other way around..I would use HDMI more, but would like to see the Bluetooth streaming work as well..will let you know what I find..if you didn't tweak the Bluetooth then its probably still broken.. any one else try pairing Bluetooth to a car stereo or FM transmitter on stock ICS?

Thanks for the kind words.

In terms of the widget control for brightness, is this a widget that you use on the homescreen? I'm asking because there is a brightness control when you open the notification bar (which can be done anywhere at any time) there is a brightness setting.

I'm also not too sure what you mean about the market bug. Could you explain in more detail what you mean by it? I'm asking because I want to make sure this ROM works 100%

Bonsoir,

=======================================================================================================

I'll try to be more precise (but my English is so bad that the following is a google translation  ) when I'm on page GooglePlay currently downloading an application or misa update, the screen bottom right flashes alternately. This is not a random one download = no flash / / 2 = a little flash / / 3 = most and so on, this is not a problem but just curious

We have this a little on the thrives also, i think its more driver related or an artifact with the play store, besides a flicker that's slightly annoying, its quick and causes no issues.

Does it happen every time you turn off the screen? I haven't heard of this happening before.....
The godmachine kernel you are packing in is known not to be liked by some tablets, SOD is the largest complaint amoung these tablets. In future builds, if I were you, I'd pack in the stock kernel as to avoid direct responsibility for these and other godmachine kernel related issues in the future.
Better than anyone blamingthe ROM.

    KEBBERSROM V1.4

Note - This is likely the last update for this ROM

    Current Version
    Download HERE

    Old Version
    V1.3 here

This is based on the newest official STOCK rom from Acer: Acer_AV041_A100_1.037.00_WW_GEN1

I created this ROM because it seemed nobody had a custom one based on Acer's latest official release, plus there aren't too many ROMs for this tab at all, so hopefully this can help refresh some interest.

It is intended to be as stable as possible, coming from the latest official Acer OTA release. If there are any bugs in it please let me know, as this is my first ROM, so things might not be perfect yet, however I have been unable to come across any bugs and am using this as my DD.

    Features:
    - Rooted
    - Deodexed
    - Latest Superuser.apk
    - Busybox
    - Godmachine version 2.0 kernel (can be overclocked with app)
    - 1% Battery Icon
    - build.prop edits and init.d scripts for better responsiveness
    - all Acer Bloatware has been removed
    - Acer Print Application
    - V6supercharger
    - Google Now (thanks to the folks here and to Civato For telling me how to make it work, while keeping TTS functionality)
    - Acer Ring
    - Asus Keyboard
    - Awesome BEATS
    - Entropy Seeder

DISCLAIMER: I will not be held responsible if this borks your system! Remember the risks of flashing custom ROMS!

Tested and working fine installing from CWM5.5.0.4, I have yet to try it on TWRP

    Instructions:
Make sure you do a FULL BACKUP BEFORE INSTALLING
Also make sure you do a COMPLETE WIPE (Data/Factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, and format flexrom)
Install ZIP from your SD card (or wherever you downloaded it to)
    Reboot!

    Screenshots:
I don't have any screenshots of the actual system, as it looks the exact same as stock but here are a few screenies of Quadrant standard on stock compared to my ROM (again benchmarks can be a bit of a crapshoot and may differ by system/setup)

    and more......

UPDATE: I have added some CWM zips for re-enabling the capacitive home button. You can download them Here.

If you want to try to run the Entropy Seeder, you will need to install Android Terminal Emulator from the play store. Once done that, run the app and enter the following:

    su
    seeder

It will give you options to choose for running it. If you want more information, check: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987032

Yea you can. Linuxsocietys thread for his god machine kernel has a link to a stock one - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1818924, and I'm sure the cm9 one is around somewhere too as a flashable zip, I just don't know where. My next update might include a different kernel after I test them out and see how they work on my roms

    Congratulations with this rom m8.:good:

Thanks man! There is no way I could have done it without the groundwork you laid for this device, and the inspiration from the greatness of the ROMs that you create!

Does anyone have this rom handy? Since the provided download link is not working I desperately need it, thanks
