@CertifiedBlyndGuy I am on your latest test 20170429 build (7.1.2). I am also getting sort of bad battery life. I am not a heavy user at all. I mostly use social apps and do some light gaming. As you can see from the screenshot, I am getting like 3-3.5hr of SOT. Which is weird as I did get better battery life from your previous builds. Best of luck for your finals.

You need to post the whole battery stats, history details, NOT just SOT. from there we can see whole apps usage or wakelocks which caused your batt drains too fast.

This is the highest SOT I got in last 5-6 days of observation. Is that normal? Idk. I'm a noob at these. :(

This is not really very bad.

But it's weired to have this Miscellanous. When you click on it, do you have more infos?
Did you tried to reflash over the rom and wipe cache?
Any changes done with Kernel Audiutor?

Miscellaneous is an approximation of how much power the battery has actually used, and of how much the battery tellsvyou its used. Blame our inaccurate fuel gauger. We will be removing it to prevent confusion because its not really doing anything besides confusing users lol

from the ss you got 3 hrs 47 mins sot, which top usage consume details:
1) Miscellaneous 39%
2) screen 20%
3) games 8 ball pool 12%
4) android system 8%

• Thats a very huge on no.1 ( unfortunately you didn't click details under it).
• screen 20% it's also a bit high (what brightness level are you on?)
• played games 8% this is average, but we can't rely on total percentages which shown. playing games is the most battery consumer in every phones.
• android system 8% this is also considered high (i never got above 5% with heavy usage)

well for 3 hrs 47 mins sot with all the details above i think it's very normal. if you can examine whats under miscellaneous, and reduce screen brightness while playing games..you can get more than current sot. i believe so.
There might be wakelocks factor also, you can enable setting in KA for prevent wakelocks? have you?
there's a lot of options in kernel adiutor (or kind of) that you can tweak by yourself start with cpu freq's, governor, and schedulers. or even undervoltage (if only you think its necessary).
So from what i see you're not suffering from battery drains.. a lil tweak in kernel should do better results. imho.

Yeah. But like I said, the reason misc is so high is because its an approximation of battery consumption which everyone seems to be skipping over... Battery's degrade over time. Mine certainly has. Its only natural for it to start shoeing its age. Most OEMs only prep it for 1500 charge cycles after all

Yes, we can't take it as measurements. battery percentage details likely inaccurate. afterall, user usage behaviour is all about. "how you treat your phone". but don't you think under 7.1.1 is slightly better than in 7.1.2 in battery backup?
it's not so obvious, but since 7.1.2 build based on MM everything kinda messed up. is that right, sir?

I'd imagine it has something to do with battery usage stats

10 days that i’m under Candy7, until today, I never lost data connection.
But today, I had to reboot my phone twice, because I lost data, and unable each time to reconnect, even going into airplane mode, trying to reset APN… Only a reboot enabled data again.

Yesterday, all day long with 3G-4G, with 3h of SOT, I had 55% of battery remaining back home. I was out for work, I used iCoyote for 1h15 in the car, took lots of pictures, a bit of videos, browse a bit with tuga.
I changed the governor to Impulse under Boeffla, I underclocked a bit to 1.9GHz (no real sluginess) and undervolted my CPU.
All by all, really happy with the battery life.
Now, with 2 reboot this morning and 26% left, I have 5h30 of SOT.
Using auto brightness just below 50%, with all gestures, ambient display enabled.
Sometimes, I also have the Miscellanious process on top of my usage, before screen, but my battery life is always good.
Hope that the 7.1.2 will be as good as 7.1.1 with battery life, and that we’ll get rid of the data problem :)

Can i know the numbers of your "undervolting" on your cpu? I like to experiment it on my phone too ?

mine. just for comparison..*see ss atached

Note: DO NOT go below 725mv as per lower freq 300mhz and 950mv higher freq (2265mhz) or you'll end up reboots.
use global offset instead of manual for first time. start with -25 per step.
*default stock for opx if i'm not wrong 825mv (300mhz) and 1050 or 1150mv (i forgot) for (2265mhz).
**mostly custom ROM/kernel started 775 (300mhz) and 1000mv (2265mhz). do wisely and with caution! uhm it is safety by the way ?

Pushing security updates right now. You'll get an update tomorrow with an update for ewok

Update: I am really sorry everyone, but a few of us have things we are working on finishing up like OmniJaws. A few DMs discovered that configuring the menu shortcut does not work for them either so we have to look into that too. Rest assured that a lot of time has been spent in making this the best release of Candy to date. Another thing, I noticed the ridiculous amount of thanks I got for just saying that an update would be pushed, but that's not really helping anyone or fixing anything. I'd like to earn it through my work, and not just what by what I say as I could literally say anything and it could be complete fallacy. You should take this approach with other developers as well. We do not deserve thanks for saying things... We deserve it for doing the work that we do and explaining how things work. Words alone should not be enough so feel free to retract your thanks; it's just a number that's supposed to be reflective of work, and XDA is a place for development. Not drama or fallacies

I get insane battery life together with Boeffla kernel, Undervolting the CPU and with the Impulse governor. No underclock.
Never had that before on any rom.
6h22 of SOT and 28% battery remaining over more than 2 days period.
However, I don't notice any performance loss for my basic usage of the phone (web browsing, RSS, Spotify, iCoyote, FM Radio, No game, manual sync...).
Great job to all of the members and dev of Candy7.
