This and CtsProfile are the only things stopping me running this ROM longterm. Can you add efficiency mode support?
It's a vendor tree/audio implementation issue.Video-play back is broken in latest build.
I think most of the code to get this working is in these three commitsAs for Efficiency Mode, I can't promise anything but I can try.
Any modification to anything not device-specific within the rom build directory calls for patch formation unless you want to do the changes every time you repo sync.I think most of the code to get this working is in these three commits

Wouldn't it just be a matter of porting them over to AEX?
I've downloaded the AEX sources and am having a go at it myself, but building any ROM in VirtualBox seems to be a bit sketchy.
Ahh I see. That's why LineageOS still doesn't have it (I'm still compiling my own unofficial build with these commits for everyday use). AICP has it in the official build, but yeah... they specifically put the changes in for every griffin build, and AICP is incredibly unstable for griffin at the moment anyway.Any modification to anything not device-specific within the rom build directory calls for patch formation unless you want to do the changes every time you repo sync.
I usually game or do other things while compiling, but I think I'll have to go back to dual-booting Ubuntu. And why don't you just dual-boot Windows and Linux?
For me this fix unfortunatelly does not seem to work. It's a vendor tree/audio implementation issue.
I have to use the AICP vendor tree if you guys want audio to work on Moto Mods.
On AICP the codecs would initialize 10 seconds after booting into the OS but on AEX that doesn't happen.
You have to start playing an mp3 song and tinker with play/pause and locking/unlocking the phone consequtively till the mp3 track starts playing. Videos will work after that.
As someone who restarts the phone once in two days, it's not a big deal.
But I can make a poll to see how many want to keep/remove support for audio mods.
Dirty Flash shouldn't pose any problems I suppose? I kind of want to avoid having to setup my Phone too many timesNew build up.
Changes:
-fixed video recording and video playback
- some AEX changes
I didn't do anything special, I just repo synced and removed the commits which broke video playback/recording.I'm still trying the build from the 21st and I noticed CTSProfile is true. Did you just fix this or did I mess something up when I tried the build from the 17th?
Must have been a Magisk issue on my end.I didn't do anything special
That means the JBL audio mods won't work now, correct?removed the commits which broke video playback/recording.
