Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik.
Flash the rom and flash the latest OpenGapps.

The settings crash is happening right after a clean flash, should I try an older build and dirty flash the new one over top? I've already tried clearing caches and facory reset but still the same.
Not sure what else to do. I tried a few other ROM's to see if it's something on my end but they work fine.

I upgraded from the previous AEX build ( I wiped the mentioned partitions, of course ), flashed the new one and the latest OpenGapps package.

This might be an issue on my part but I clean flashed this rom to try it out and it was sooooo sluggish. Boot up took longer than it did booting into other roms first time, I heard the sound the phone makes when you turn up the ringer during the boot screen. Once I got into the OS it took a long while to get through the setup cause it was frequently grinding to a halt or just performing really slow.

EDIT: Figured it out. It was Magisk.

No idea how to get around this dilemma. The APN settings are kind of useless. I need to manually add my APN but I physically cant from the settings app

All APN settings for autodetected apns are greyed out and there's no + button for adding a new APN.

Anyone test the Hasselblad camera mod?

yes is not working. this is with the build from 06/03. the mod seems to be recognized somehow, but power button does not react... I have read on other roms you need to start the camera manually but eludes me.

Also I have noticed from logs somehow the mods are from nougat? I thought there are some official oreo in the wild.
I have a logcat if of any use.

So far so good. No lags, fast, smooth, stable. Incipo battery pack working. No incall sound issues. Could be more battery friendly. Maybe someone can give me some advices about kernel settings in kernel adiutor? Anyway great rom!

Hey i got the same issue, i did a clean flash, the settings opens but as soon as i want to open for example the battery settings, the app stop, i don't know what to do. I am sorry i don't have any log file but if you tell me how to get them i will without problem.

Thanks but i tried and it didn't worked, so i installed carbon rom, i am waiting for AospExtended to be improved then i will reinstall, i can't wait to try it again it was great but to many bug sorry.

For me it was when im switching to dark layout.

I got this problem too. When the layout goes dark, all the options in settings crash.
Do you know how to remove this layout or restore, without factory reset?

Change wallpaper to white.. automatically, the theme goes to white

That fix the problem. I change the UI style to be light always, meanwhile this problem is fixed

In my quest for a 8.1 ROM without the echo present for the caller on the other side , I tested this rom but unfortunately echo still present .

I seriously don't understand what's the problem.
I never experienced echoes in calls ever since the first usable 8.1-based roms started being built. The person on the other end would usually only notice that my voice was a bit louder than usual, resulting in better communication in public for them. Can't complain about that "bug" in my case.
