Ditto - I must have downloaded before the fix - I am trying to boot after a total clean flash - while going thru setup - I get to the screen where it says learn about key features - when I try to go to the next step - it fc's and goes back two screens to the drop box setup - can't go any further.

Will look for a new download and will try again when it's ready -

No complaints here - I have come to love your roms - so I don't mind a little inconvenience now and again....thanks for all your hard work...

I downloaded the revised update you just posted


I did a completely clean flash - wipe data/cache/system/etc.

WHen I go thru the setup - after entering my google account - I get to the screen that shows some of the special S4 features - I click next and it freezes then goes back about two screens earlier in the setup process. I can't get thru the setup process completely. and It doesn't appear that I can by pass it.

THoughts?

What recovery are you using man? Try with TWRP 2.5.0.2.

I use OUDHS CWM recovery - I am really - really happy with this recovery - I suppose I can always flash TWRP, flash the rom and then reflash my OUDHS CWM recovery but I will see if I can find another solution before I try something like that -

For what it's worth, I went into recovery and I restored data from a similar rom (Alpha) - when I rebooted I was able to boot up - and get into the ROM - and because I restored data I didn't need to go thru the setup process - I realize that is not the ideal way of doing this - but at least things are working.

I tried to flash new 5.0 over 4.0 and got stuck in setup. So I deleted the 5.0 zip I had and re downloaded it.

Going to try and Odin stock OS and try again... Wish me luck.

Whelp that didnt work... Looks like I am going back to 4.0 until the kinks get worked out. The new interface in TWRP is awesome thought!

I also ran into this problem. after flashing with full wipe, on first boot, I get "system UI not responding" (or something like at) once I get to the S4 screen to activate motion/getures. I tried to flash Alpha back but kept getting the same system crash with same results.

I had no choice but to odin back to stock and start over and flash a diffrent rom.

So I flashed 5.0 on my wife's s4. It's her first custom rom. I've been flashing custom firmware for years (hd2, infuse, s3, and note 2). Point being not my first trip around the block.

I had twrp on her phone so I stuck with it. Saw that after 3.6 Loki wasn't needed. Should I have run the Loki script anyway?

Went through aroma, got to the settings fc on initial setup. Kept pressing ok and finish and home and eventually it went away. (Got lucky I guess). After that everything set up fine. Wifi, data, contacts, all is well. Broke til the end of the month so grabbed the latest free 3minit settings app from the thread. When I started up the settings app it shows that the app is version 2.6 but framework version 2.2. Went back and downloaded the 2.2 app and the incompatible message went away, however none of the settings I choose stick. Tried the 2.6 app again and still nothing sticks.

Went into the regular settings app and pressed 3 minute settings and get a force close.

She needs the phone today and since the functional stuff all seems to be working will consider a fresh install later. Just throwing this out there in case it's a problem somewhere else.

Thanks for the Rom though, it looks like it will be awesome!

For me - the only way I was able to actually use this rom was to flash the rom - and then restore data in an advanced NAndroid Backup - I used a backup from a very similar rom - ALpha - and It worked for me with no issues that I can see - but if I had not been able to restore data from that backup after flashing the 5.0 update, I would not be able to use this rom. Others are reporting similar issues - not sure what the problem is...

wow what a waste of time, I have flashed this rom twice now, and all I get is "UNFORTUNATELY, SETTINGS HAS STOPped" can't even get over the initial setup process and it crashes with error problem, looked like a promising rom but too bad cant get it running on att s4. got an att s4 trying the infamous s4 5.0 wit the att kernel and stock theme and stock dpi, not working second try I am out,

I got 5.0 working, at least everything but the 3minit settings. I basically just pressed home after the initial setup and fc. Also I unchecked all the boxes about the features so they were all off. Thought about reflashing but I'm glad I didn't. May not have been able to get it running again!

*amusing little bug, answering a call automatically puts it on speaker phone.

*tried again with a fresh install to see if I could get 3minit working but am unable to get past settings this time.
