I'm still going to wait for a updated version of the kernel weather it works for some people or not... I'm really tempted to flash it since yesterday i got i second OUYA for free so i have no worries if something goes wrong, but i'm going to give the New second OUYA to my 11 year old step daughter at the end of the school year cause she won't leave mines alone ;)

Just wait guys. Kholk is working on it. Few weeks and we will have working kernel which can be flash via cwm. I just hoping it will work with the newest update, because stockplus is old.
Easiest way for good cooling is give second fan under OUYA, 6cm fit well, I'm using 8cm fan powered by DIY USB.

I am using the same setup diy usb fan. I have long screws that lift up the ouya. It provides good airflow. I am excited to test it but I want a sure fire way to flash. I have worked on kernels before but the ouya makes me scared of bricking it. Does he have the kernel source somewhere?

Don't mix anything up ;) kholk just said he leaves his case open and that there is a automatic shutdown function if the device reaches 85 degrees celcius. We are nothing near 85 degrees yet, so don't care about that.

And just for your interest: if you repack kholks kernel with the ramdisk of stock ROM it should work just the same. I tried and didnt get any issues I didn't have on stockplus later.

Sure I can do that. But I will ask kholk first if it's OK for him that I publish repacks of his kernel. But not before tonight. I'm having a day off with my wife ;+)

anyone know if this kernel is going to be in a custom CM rom built over the OUYA interface or just an android rom on the ouya

I will say I like the OUYA interface for what it is used for but the "console" could really use some juice

or am i really off and its just going to be a kernel?

This link is no good, when I try to repack it gives me an error and it says "not found"... I've been trying to use that link for 2 days now and still doesn't work...

I don't really care much for a kernel for stock ouya rom, I don't plan on staying on stock for ever, as soon as the kit kat ROM appears I will be flashing it a.s.a.p. but I will love to take this kernel and take it for a spin and I don't want to beat up thugs playing lame soul fjord, sorry.
