Should DO SOME RESEARCH before warning about false info...[/QUOTE]

OK RESEARCH:

1: First of all.. you need to install a different bootloader, from my point of view very unintuitive.

2. On the ADB installation you need to match the MD5SUMs or your ouya is dead.

3. There is a note allowing space errors saying they are normal.

4. You need to rename the Kernel on the SD for working properly.

5. You need to install on StockPlus or the kernel not work properly. (can't use on stock)

6. After the installation the ouya presents temperature issues produced random reboots.

7. After the installation the ouya presents random screen freezes.

8. If you try to solve anything on ABD you NEVER cant use "adb reboot bootloader" command (there is a confusion on the Eternity Bootloader fastboot mode and the OUYA bootloader)

9. A lots of blank screen's

10. Not dummies guide, no clear instructions. (Browse the multiple developer clarifications)

11. You can lose your ADB comunication .

12. The developer does not publish advances on XDA

@primo_4c4 The instructions are very clear, I assume you know how to read right?

1)Yes, you need a to flash a new kernel but it got its benefits( prevents BRICKS,boot other OS kernels, failsafe recovery in case of a emergency) and its very simple and easy to flash if you know how to follow instructions. I flashed it on both of my ouyas.

2)"On the ADB installation you need to match the MD5Sums or your OUYA is dead"<--- fyi your ouya is not dead to the point where you cant ever use it, All you do to bring it back from the dead is RESTORE FROM BACKUP and your back on buisness... This is what it said "If you can't get the MD5SUMs to match, there's some bad problem. That means now if you reboot, your OUYA is dead, so if that happens, prior rebooting, RESTORE THE BACKUP"

3)I never got an error while installing the bootloader ( but its possible and its normal said kholk).

4). "You need to rename the Kernel on the SD for working properly."<---- I didn't know that renaming a kernel would kill anyone or that it takes such a long time to do or difficult at all.

5)"You need to install on StockPlus or the kernel not work properly. (can't use on stock)" <----AGAIN do your research before posting BS, I'm using it on stock OUYA rom it works on stockplus and on stock rom, to run it on stock rom all you do is repack it which is already done for us.

6) The system reboots, screen freeze and flickering is easy to fix, all you do is switch the CPU governor from "interactive" to 'performance" or "userspace" if your OUYA is too weak for the kernel it won't boot.

7)"If you try to solve anything on ABD you NEVER cant use "adb reboot bootloader" command (there is a confusion on the Eternity Bootloader fastboot mode and the OUYA bootloader)"<--- the instruction say "Note 2: DON'T EVER ENTER THE COMMAND "adb reboot bootloader" or "fastboot reboot-bootloader"!!!!, this will NOT get you into the EternityProject TPL Bootloader, but into OUYA's stock one!!!" The new bootloader boots automatically on boot and you do all of your fastboot from there no need for "adb reboot bootloader" or fastboot reboot boot loader" command's unless is too much for you to reboot your OUYA to start fastboot then entering a command?

8)" A lot of black screen"<--- one of my OUYA's currently does it when I try to boot the new kernel, I assume I have a week OUYA, I did the same process on both of my OUYA's, didn't get any errors installing the EP bootloader on neither of them and only one of my OUYA's boots the new kernel.

9)"Not dummies guide, no clear instructions. (Browse the multiple developer clarifications)" <--- maybe it could be a Lil confusing, that I'll give you but it don't hurt to ask once in a while when someone don't understand something or an instruction you should ask.

10)"You can lose your ADB comunication"<--- I think a one or couple of people state that, but others and I didn't lose ADB, this issue was addressed .

11)"The developer does not publish advances on XDA"<--- your answer in on post #67 on here.

I posted this over at the official forum, and I'll post it here:

I was having overheating problems so I ordered the Noctua fan. It should be here tomorrow (weather permitting). I will report back once I have it installed.

the instructions are very detailed.
this is xda developers, not xda noobs.

so just deal with it
Amen to that...:good:

---------- Post added at 07:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:01 PM ----------

I have a wild idea for why this kernel is having problems for most people. The heatsink is only attached to the board in three places and by unconventional means (solder joints?) It is possible that the heatsink is not sitting right on the die causing the apu to overheat. This also could explain why some ouyas are okay and some are not (manufactor process). I know there is a mod to add a copper shim to it. Also, has anyone tried the noctua fan mod? I have one in mine and it is quiet and cool.
Sorry for not posting to the other forum, but I have yet to create an account. Feel free to copy paste this into the other forum. I plan on creating an account soon, just so busy.
i'm gona take a look at this, thanks...

.. .. so damn true .. and kholk already said on EP forum "You should flash it only if you know what are you doing. If you know what are you doing, you shouldn't ask this question." ..
i'am not expert or developer .. and i know the risk .. and remember .. no pain no gain :D .. cheers

Good news so far. I'll have a new ROM in the making and should be able to publish it today or tomorrow.
But to be honest: nothing fancy yet. Just progressing where stockplus rom was put on halt.

I'll post link here as son as it's up on our forum :D

awww, sweet...Dude thats awesome news, ill be flashing that badboy...My OUYA is ready for anything as of today, i did copper shim and installed 2 pretty big and good fans from my fried Dell XPS gaming laptop, the laptop also had some pretty thick copper shimms installed so i took them and re-used them...patiently waiting for the new rom, no rush ;)

Good luck with the fan modification, however it was not what I expected for a development that solicited donations.

Quick question Ouya just pushed out an update since I installed the boot loader and the kernel I will need to reinstall them (if they are still compatible ) if I update correct( I know normally this is the case but I don't know if there were any preventions put in place for these
