Hi everyone,

In this thread you will find my KITKAT custom Rom and Kernel for BQ Aquaris 4.5.

I don't have this phone (BQ Aquaris 4.5) so, if you have any problem with this Rom, please attach an Logcat and Kmsg.

KitKat 4.4.2 custom ROM (ported from Newman N1 KK 4.4.2 by me)

• Fixed: Touchpanel lag on some models that use GT9XX driver
• Fixed: Rear Camera on all models
• Fixed: Google Sync and Play Store

• Single/Dual SIM Selection
• Root Selection (Choose to apply last version of Root Supersu, or stay un-rooted)

Need wipe of Chache, Dalvik cache and Data before installation.

• For those who have problems with Touchpanel (too slow), go to Download section, download and install patch "Touchpanel_GT9xx-LF_KK_Fix.zip".
• Install this patch from Recovery.

• Mod: Modified KK Permissions to allow apps/data to read/write from External SD Card (Google Removed External SD Card access on KK)

About the Rom

• Rom based on the Official Release by Motorola XT919 / XT920 (Combo-Chip MT6628)
• Ported from Newman N1
• Many fixes were needed to make it work on our Combo-Chip (MT6620 - Responsible for the Radio / GPS / WiFi / etc)
• Includes New Custom KitKat Kernel 3.4.67

How to Install / Requirements

Just in case, before flash make an full backup of your current Rom and Kernel.

Requirements

• CWM, TWRP or CTR Recovery with SE Linux support
  Download CTR Recovery for KS version (new Aquaris 4.5 with Kingston memory)
  Download CTR Recovery for No KS version (old Aquaris 4.5 with Hynix memory)
• Extended Internal UserData Partition (due to the new KK fstab, the internal Memory can't be mounted)
  (Users with stock Partition Layout, can still flash this rom, however you'll have only 500MB of userdata)

Installation / Flashing Procedure

• Put the rom on the EXTERNAL SD Card
• FULL Wipes are mandatory (Cache/dalvik/Data)
• Install the Rom

Internal memory re-partition (extended userdata partition)

Read with very carefully and do it at your own risk
Make a full backup via MKTDROIDTOOLS including NVRAM and IMEI
The Internal SD will be formatted so you will lose all the data that you have there

• Download extended_userdata.zip (modified MBR and EBR1)
• Get the file MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt from your stock Rom
• Extract the ZIP (extended_userdata.zip) into a folder in your computer
• Shutdown the phone
• Open SP Flash Tool v3.1222.00 (or higher) and load the scatter file MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
• Flash MBR and EBR1 as shown on the next image (more details in this flashing tutorial)
  
  
• After flashing is complete, boot into Recovery and wipe/format /data
• Reboot into Recovery again
• It's recommended that you install the full Rom again
• Reboot and enjoy

[PATCH] Default Sound Volumes like Stock Rom from BQ

• This patch sets the default sound volumes like Stock Rom from BQ.
  After apply the patch you can check the new values in the Engineering Mode.
  Download from Downloads section and install from Recovery.
  Download from Mediafire and install from Recovery.

[PATCH] Bluetooth Sniffer Logs

• This patch enables you to enable/disable the bluetooth sniffer logs.
  (logs are created in /data/@btmtk/hci_sniffer_logxxxxxxxxxxxx.log)
  After apply the patch you need to add the following code in the build.prop:
  To Disable logs
  

  persist.service.bt.virtualsniff=[COLOR="Red"]0[/COLOR]

  To Enable logs
  

  persist.service.bt.virtualsniff=[COLOR="Red"]1[/COLOR]

  Download Bluetooth_Logs_Patch.zip from Downloads section and install from Recovery.

• This MOD shows the text of battery percentage over the battery icon.
  Download KK_Battery_Percentage.zip from Downloads section and install from Recovery.
