No, I was scared off of that because ParrotMod or something said to use the newer version.

The main Beanstalk ROM zip and SuperSU zip validate fine, as does open GApps. The Beanstalk Gapps zips here and ParrotMod do not validate. I guess they're not signed correctly.

Actually using the latest TWRP is something I'd also recommend. I only suggested you to do so for testing purposes. The GApps are definitely signed correctly, I used my self generated key for signing. Try not to use any third party mods like SuperSU or ParrotMod as I wrote in the OP. A su solution is built in by default.

hi , im using the latest build and i have a few problems:
-apps frequently crash, usually when im scrolling/swipe
-Performance Control settings resets after turning off/restart the device
-the built-in browser, when i type it doesnt update(cant see what im typing) unless i touch/move the page

I did a dirty flash from the MM build (wiped caches etc..) if that says anything~

Thank YOU!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU! When my Nexus started to crap out on me I ended up joining xda to find a decent custom ROM. Many ROMs later (none good enough for my baby), I went with Beanstalk and have been loving everything about it ever since! I'm one of the very few people I know that doesn't have a cell phone glued to my hand, (anymore..but have one). I do however have my N that I cherish deeply just for the fact it has been running amazingly smooth, looks awesome and is still my go to device when I'm craving a FF fix. Which is what it's main purpose has always been. The boot-up is fast, it never hangs or lags and it does everything I want it to but better than when it was stock. I really do appreciate all the effort you've put into Beanstalk, especially with the recent update (I know, 2 months ago :p). The only thing I found to be troublesome, well not really it's personalization, is I am unable to pick or change colors, literally that is it! BUT I have not flashed 7.1.2, YET. So it most likely isn't a problem anymore. Sorry for the story, I just got really excited seeing the 7.1.2! thank YOU! :victory:

Hey!

I've just installed this ROM (Nougat) but ran into a problem with the storage:

I can't download anything anymore because it tells me that there was no SD card found.
But otherwise I can use the device, install apps and move/browse files on the internal storage without problems.
Well, of course there was no SD card found because it just has the internal storage - but how to tell the OS to use
the internal storage (>11GB free) instead of the non existing SD card?

I can't find any related option within the storage settings.

Thanks for your effort. :fingers-crossed:

Works great!

I've just installed this ROM (Nougat) but ran into a problem with the storage [...]

Nevermind! Reflashing TWRP solved the problem. So it wasn't related to your ROM. :good:
(First tried downgrading TWRP to latest 2.x and problem was solved, but was still solved after upgrading to 3.1.1 again. :p)

Really stable?

I have the same problems on the Nougat version. (flashed from 5.1 Stock ROM)
Apps are randomly freezing and I have to restart the device.
Background resets to the stock Beanstalk image.
Exact same behaviour on the browser.
NFC/Android Beam doesn't seem to work.
Sometimes lagging but probably due to the 1GB of RAM installed.
And I'm pretty sure I did everything right, wiped everything, using the newest version of TWRP and flashed the Gapps linked in the first post. :cyclops:

Try to keep power and vol- buttons pressed for at least 20-30 sec. If this doesn't work try to remove the battery of the device.

Nothing, just flashing black screen after google logo. I let the battery die overnight ( not sure how to remove battery ) and re-tried to get fastboot.

adb detects the device but as unauthorised.

Is there anything that I can try ?

Same with marshmallow, tried many roms. Difficult to find a stable 1. Carbonrom seems best but it's KitKat & battery life not as good as mm/n

    Flash instructions

    1. make sure you have a current TWRP installed (3.1.0.0)
---> feel free to ask how to flash it if you don't know how
    2. Download current Beanstalk ROM package to your device:
    Download Marshmallow
    Download Nougat
    3. Download my Gapps (recommended as they work the best and are clean):
    Download Marshmallow
    Download Nougat
--> I really don't recommend any other GApps package as I configured the package to work with our grouper perfectly, any other package would probably cause issues due to the small system partition
    4. Reboot to recovery (Turn off your device, press Power & Vol- and choose Recovery)
    5. Wipe system, data, dalvik/art cache and cache partitions (optionally use f2fs)
    6. Install ROM, then GApps (don't install any additional system mod if u use GApps as there's no space for it)

    Update

Here it is, guys, the Nougat update. It took quite much time until I could make everything fit into the small system partition of grouper. Finally I got it so here it is.

    ROM:

    Beanstalk 6.19 update

Ok guys, the build as well as the GApps are updated now. You can find the download in the first post of this thread. Keep in mind that I rebuilt everything. I recommend doing a clean flash although a dirty flash should work, too.

    What's new:
    - changed the default browser to Gello
    - added OTG support
    - added USB as an additional sound device
    - latest Cyanogenmod updates and fixes

Looking forward to your reviews. Happy flashing ;)

    Update to Beanstalk 6.08

I updated Beanstalk to version 6.08
I updated the GApps some days ago (cleanest GApps for CM-ROMs, kept minimal)
I customized the ROM's stock kernel (voltage control, CPU OC...)

Have fun trying it out, looking forward to your reviews :D
