It is 5.1, I have only worked on it the past 3 days, I wasn't part of OptiPop before then.

Ok installed after android splash got a black screen had to reboot and all was good after that just thought I'd let you know

I had this issue and just left it and it was fine. I think the boot animation may end too early for ART optimizations/first boot.

I waited 12 minutes and couldn't get past black screen after Android splash screen. Gapps package I am using works with other5.1 roms, but could that possibly be problem?

It was stated earlier a reboot would get past it.
