Hi,
I just flashed [5.X.X/4.4.4][P7300/P7310][ROM, Kernel, Recovery] Jolie contributions [13 May, 2015].
Everything seems hunkydory but I have hit a couple of problems with Google Play Store:-
1. When paging through the list of My Apps I occasionally get "authentication is required. you need to sign into your google account", but I am already signed in to that account.
2. The message "Unfortunately Google Play services has stopped" also pops up occasionally.

Any info or help would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Today's beta version of Google Play Services (version 10.5.42) have resolved the Google Play Services issues.
You can download it from apkmirror.com
enjoy :)

Trouble to connect Keyboard

Hallo,
i have succesfully installed the Lollipop ROM on my Samsung Galaxy tab 8.9!
I now have trouble to connect my Keyboard to the Tablet. It is a Keyboard with a Doc Directly from Samsung that worked Fine on Android 3.
As soon as i connect the Keyboard the Tablet just freezes. I then have to turn it off by holding the Power Button. And the light of the Keyboard stays off.
Does someone know how i can fix this?
I would really like to keep using the Keyboard!

Thank you a lot for any help!! :)

Sorry mate, this device is very old and I don't use it anymore...

Try to execute "adb logcat" and then attach keyboard and maybe you see something.

First Marshmallow AOSP 6.0.1 release

Hi, we finally have our marshmallow here. I had to do more work for this release.

In short terms, this is what I've done:
- ROM compiled by decatf's for p4wifi device. So we still use his binaries. Many thanks to him because he merged rotation patches that we need for our p5. Also decatf's posted his local_manifest, so anyone could build it from scratch.
- Kernel source comes from decatf's repos (again). I only have to modify some hardware devices (as always) in config.
- Ramdisk: merged a lot of code in init*.rc files, I had to leave some code in init.rc to make it boot, otherwise boot sequence stuck before starting to load Zygote.
- Original ROM updater-script is for modern TWRP, so I decided to completely rewrite the update-binary, which is a shell script now (like Chainfire does in his SuperSu zip). It's more comfortable for me and we can apply all permissions, SELinux contexts, ... (this is in beta stage for the moment, report if something goes wrong during the flash process). Thank you to @osm0sis and his post which saved a lot of time writting functions.
- Removed some "recovery stuff" included in p4wifi ROM zip. IMO we don't need this...

Short instructions (as always flash in TWRP):
- ROM aosp-6.0-p5wifi-20160131.zip
- SuperSU stable, but I'm running v2.52. Should work anyway.
- GAPPS: I don't flash it anymore, but probably you can flash Opengapps (select ARM, 6.0, Nano or Pico)

Let me know if we can do this ROM better :)

Enjoy!

PD: Set animations to .5x in "Developer options" to speed up the UI a bit.

i am a new user..kindly tell me how to flash the recovery

thanks

Search one YouTube " how to install TWRP on Galaxy Tab 8.9 "
Than you can follow it step by step.
Important is that you now the steps to boot to the Recovery.

Important 2
You need TWRP 2.8.7.0 and Odin 3.07 , not newer Version.
Also enable developer settings and USB debugging.

Send me a PM and I'll tell you the password. Unfortunately my server was being indexed so many times by robots per day that I have to close the public access.

    Hello,

I open this thread to continue the great work of @OmarEinea and kasper with his kernel. I will try to update all possible ROMs with a new kernel improvements and all what we can add to this good setup. Kernel has new cherry picks from Faux, loosethisskin, A1 and others.

    New Marshmallow ROMs here

Actually, we are very happy with AOSP ROMs that decatf build for P75xx. They are not perfect and there are a few issues. Known bugs:
    • Mobile data not working for p5 users
    • OC upper that 1400 MHz cause reboots and instability.
    • SELinux is completely disabled in my ROMs (we don't have a working modern TWRP yet)
    • Maybe other bugs and issues, but in general, p5wifi ROM works fine for a daily use, gaming, etc.

Current Lollipop 5.1.1 ROMs (AOSP, decatf's build) (in beta state)
    P7310 = aosp-5.1.1-p5wifi-20150513.zip
    P7300 = aosp-5.1.1-p5-20150513.zip
    GAPPS = p75xx-gapps-L-5-6-15_selinux_OFF.zip

    Flash instructions
    • Wipe factory reset if you come from another ROM/version.
    • Flash ROM
    • Flash GAPPS
    • Flash SuperSU
    • In 5.1 kernel works sweet, thanks to decatf's work

    New recoveries with F2FS support
(these recoveries can't format to f2fs all partitions, the only difference is in kernel, that has support to mount f2fs partitions)

    New update

After the summer, it's time to port latest from decatf. So, here it is:

    decatf's AOSP ROM:
    aosp-5.1.1-p5wifi-20150814.zip
    aosp-5.1.1-p5-20150814.zip

    decatf's GAPPS (without selinux contexts):
    p75xx-gapps-L-7-17-15_selinux_OFF.zip

    Figue kernel v18:
    Figue-boot-v18-p5wifi-L.zip
    Figue-boot-v18-p5-L.zip
    Changelog:
    - This time, I rebased the kernel to decatf's stable tree. Applied CPU OC/UV patches only. CPU governors and schedulers are the same as decatf's p4 kernel.
    - Graphite optimizations seems to work fine :good:
    - Disabled zram and KSM/UKSM.

    Happy flashing.

    Kernels are back!!

I have one gift for you in last few hours of April Fools Day. I figured out what was causing the issue in previous zips. It was the permissions in /system/etc/init.d. And the cause is the random script included in decatf's ROM. So, I disabled it and voilá!

I built new kernels from decatf's sources. These new tweaks are included:
    • bc0a1fe Added Nightmare CPU governor
    • d4d0f33 block: deadline: flash storage tweaks
    • cfc8376 Fix section mismatches
    • 83d7247 Added TripNDroid scheduler
    • d6e3eb7 Added VR scheduler
    • 185f045 block/deadline: tweak for better android performance
    • 2ed2b75 Added SIO scheduler
    • cd0e897 Overclock CPU for P73XX devices
Also I enabled TCP congestion algorithms, so you can choose the one you want. Deadline is the default scheduler now and I recommend that you try nightmare CPU governor (default is still Interactive).

New kernel source is available in my github.

    Downloads:
    Figue-boot-v10-p5wifi-L.zip
    Figue-boot-v10-p5-L.zip

No wipes are needed in order to flash this kernel.

    Enjoy!
