To everyone wondering i have flashed this kernel and YES it is a new kernel for our Note:

THIS KERNEL HAS BRICK BUG DISABLED SO IT'S SAFE TO DO WIPES ON IT!

Are you really sure? From the discussions I remember that the Patch EMMC_CAP_ERASE kernel wasn't implemented there. Klementij removed all posts related to this but didn't open a new thread in General for this "russian Kernel".
So this is a Kernel without developer thread here (Klementij only provided the links to it).
Where did you get the confirmation that this is a patched and safe Kernel?

What are you talking about and what are you doing here? I asked you what proof there was for your statement. It was obvious that you made a mistake. Now we have to wait for the thread owner to give his comment. It isn't me to verify anything.

Until then it is not clear if something is dangerous here.

And reporting because a Kernel isn't safe to use is funny when the origin of this is Samsung and not the thread owner.

cool off guys, this kernel has been here some time and been used by a segment of Note users. there is no thread for it as it is still evolving and its producers are shy people/language problem and so on.

If there is any way you are going to prove its not safe then do it in black and white.

Omg, i am really shocked from your attitude! This kernel is SAFE! The owner of the kernel from the Russian site told that. It is from latest Samsung open sources with TONS of patches for ; brickbug, hot boot availability and bootloop fix combining it with PhilZ recovery! Anyway you could simply send a pm to me instead of spamming the thread. Not good while i spent one week for the rom.

It was for old versions with TWRP recovery. Now it has PhilZ latest recovery so it is Safe.

Tested this kernel in XXLSZ and XXLT4 and it is smooth for daily usage and it has EMMC_CAP_ERASE DISABLED so it's fully safe to do wipes on it :good:

Here you have the original vold.fstab. Unzip and put it to your /system/etc and correct the permissions. Than you will have internal sd as internal sd

Sorry but i have no time this week. They are explained in xda, search for them.

However i will add packages next week (probably) for mods and even lighter and heavier version of the ROM.

Want me to make a CWM to automagically replace the vold.fstab? I own a 32Gb SDHC card and i have made one on my own!

I mean, if you want i can two CWM's:

1. One for the original vold.fstab
2. And the second for the modified vold.fstab to use the microSDHC as internal memory!

I would be glad if you can do that as i have no time this week. Also can you do the same for build.prop by changing the ro.density (there are two places to change from 240 to 320 in the build.prop file) I will happily add them to OP and credit you.

Also, i will try to build my own kernel (instead of the included one which is not mine) with OC during next weeks from the Original Samsung sources with brickbug disabled if i have enough spare time.

Just would like to give it a try.

Two questions

1. Can I flash the ROM on a unrooted note or do i need to root before.

2. Can I somehow include the torch on long press home button (like in Rocket an alliance rom)

• Use_microSD_as_internal_memory_CWM.zip <- This zip is to use the microSD memory as internal so in case you have a 32Gb or 64Gb microSD this is totally worth it to install huge apps like games and so on!

• C.O.H.Hybrid_320DPI_fixed_CWM.zip <- Removed due to bootloop (not sure if build.prop related or rom)
