Lets-Play_S4_GPE_v2.1

Install
Flash at your own risk!!!
First install:
Check MD5
Nandroid backup
Factory reset
Flash ROM
Reboot

Update:
Check MD5
Nandroid backup
Flash ROM
Reboot

This kernel is not loki-patched, so AT&T users must be sure to flash loki-doki.

You may have issues using CWM based recoveries with this ROM. If so, try TWRP (it's what I use).

Useful Tools
MD5 check utility
Wiping Tools
Chainfire's SuperSU (flash this if you ever lose root)

Perfect timing indeed. :)

I built this back when MH5 first dropped, but never got around to cleaning it up and posting. The introduction of the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 got me thinking about AOSP again. Soooo...here we are.

Hopefully we'll see 4.4 for the GT-I9505G soon. :fingers-crossed:

Not really. All the GApps framework is there, but I removed everything except Gmail and Maps (basically anything you can get in the Play Store).

I can make a re-bloat zip if anyone wants it, but TBH it would be just as easy to get it from the Play Store).

Crap, now I see the 4.3. Sorry guys, my xda app sucks. It needs to be updated soon. It's not the apps fault I missed the 4.3, it was my blind excitement. :) I hope they can unlock this MF3 piece of crap. Bounty already exceeded 5 grand lol.

All set up fine Up--nice job--will fine tune tomorrow--:)

Off to bed, but was wondering did the GPE roms ever have a BlockingMode or Quiet Hours app?

No blocking mode on GPE ROMs.

You can try something like Do Not Disturb Mode from the Play Store.

im on Canadian(bell) S4, the Rom installed fine but i lost cell service. Anyone with similar prob/???:confused::confused:
Yes, I also lost cell service. I'm with AT&T.

Both of you can try the faux kernels found at the link below. Please report back and let us know how it goes.

Edit:
For those not familiar with faux's kernel:
m = no overclocking
u = overclocking

I wanna keep using this so bad! Flash went ok. Only thing is I also have no signal as previously reported. I tried faux and KT kernels but nothing. When you manually try to add APN settings it doesn't save even after pressing save button.

Edit: I was using philz recovery to flash but switched to twrp and now I have signal with LTE!
