I have not upgraded to the MK2 modem yet (still on MJ6). For the life of me I can figure out why this is not working for you. Other than trying the MJ6 modem, I am out of ideas.

The OTA is somewhere in /cache. If you delete it, it will most likely just download again.

If the OTA installs it will do more than just kill root. It may brick your device.

Yeah, I found the package in /root /cache, and deleted it. Oh im sure it will brick the phone so I am now going to look into the 3 or 4 GPE 4.4 ROMs available here on XDA.

It would be nice to actually have a flasher's guide to GPE Roms. All the current TW roms too. Would be nice.

I never was able to figure this out, but oddly enough Kangakat's 4.4 ROM is working properly with data on the stock kernel. I'm still hoping to get yours working as I'm a huge fan of your 4.3 ROM.

well I lost the baseband after flash this rom. I did wipe and flash the rom, then the loki.zip that found on the first page.

And I tried to flash MJ6 baseband, still no cell service.

what should I do now?

ROM has nothing to do with baseband, Baseband is something you flash separately,go to general section and you will find solution to your issue. Good luck

I'll have to check them out.
I was getting fantastic battery life on Faux's kernel. I still had 40% battery left at the end of a normal days usage yesterday.
The kernel that came with the ROM was terrible for me. The battery was down to 20% by lunch.

Faux stock mod kernel is awesome with super battery life but doesn't support FauxSound

well I was back to stock rom with MDB baseband. And I root it with motochopper and install the TWRP recovery. Then I install this rom, and flash the loki file that shows on the first page of this thread. and reboot, baseband unknown. I tried to baseband thread on the general section by using recovery to flash the those zip. none of those works.

    Lets-Play_S4_GPE_v2.1

    Install
    Flash at your own risk!!!
    First install:
    Check MD5
    Nandroid backup
    Factory reset
    Flash ROM
    Reboot

    Update:
    Check MD5
    Nandroid backup
    Flash ROM
    Reboot

This kernel is not loki-patched, so AT&T users must be sure to flash loki-doki.

You may have issues using CWM based recoveries with this ROM. If so, try TWRP (it's what I use).

    Useful Tools
    MD5 check utility
    Wiping Tools
Chainfire's SuperSU (flash this if you ever lose root)

Please be sure to head over to one of ktoonsez's thread and hit the thanks button. He fixed some pretty irritating issues with GE 4.4.

Do not try to use ART yet (new Android runtime). GE 4.4 is still having some issues.
