Is it possible to change the homescreen? I'm using 3 screens, the homescreen should be in the middle and not on the left. Searching in this thread leads to no solution. Using the pich to zoom gesture also not leads to this function. Or I just don't get it...

Thanks for your fast feedback. Just wanted to edit my post, because I also got another question: Is there a way to customize the lockscreen with shortcuts? I followed your link to MIUI-tipps, but the page is a little bit older and the described way doesn't seem to work.

I don't know. Maybe you just should change lockscreen to one I think shortcut in it.

Can't find an option to do that. Under "Lockscreen" there is only the possibility do choose between Lockscreen on or off, pattern, pin, face detection and so on. Only settings for security reasons.

Like many other icon packs it only works for cm-trebuchet, nova, action launcher, smartlauncher any many others.

Theme app is completely chinese, almost every category looks like that are only wallpapers. And it's only very "special" chinese stuff. I can't find something like an icon pack. But it's okay, I will look around, maybe I will find something...

To customize parts it's the green circle with triangles in it then select icons then select the theme you want for icons.

Since this MIUI is based on a very outdated Android version...how's the security? The countless stagefright vulnerabilities are they patched?

Miui is not android, it's a FORK so security is up to date as stated on about phone.

In my opinion @Superwitschi has done some nice themes. For example this, called "canus": http://zhuti.xiaomi.com/detail/91365c00-5f69-4ab2-a4fd-4857437c8dfc
This link directly opens in the theme-app. By clicking on the name of the developer you can find many other themes which aren't "Chinese style" like the one on the theme start page.

That's a good information. But I can't find this "security patch information" on the "about phone" page like it is on a lollipo or marshmellow rom.

But I can say that for now it was a good choice to install this MIUI-ROM. All the marshmellow roms like cm13 or chroma began to lag in a heavy way after some days/weeks. Facebook often was a white screen for 5 or more seconds. Unlocking by pattern often took many seconds too. MIUI works fine and fluffy until now!

Stock dpi is 320 if I remember correctly

Until now I didn't realized the problem with dpi. But today I installed Nova Launcher because I need an app drawer. I get used to it and want to have it back.
Now, after installing Nova I'm realizing that all the icons are very small.
Am I right that setting the rom to 320 dpi leads to a normal android look?

How can I change the dpi? Can't find such an option.

Think you need to reboot to apply. And carefull with build.prop if you mess it up you'll be in bootloop. Flash back the rom to fix.

I used a buildprop editor, then it worked.

MIUI dpi is 300, modifying to 320 leads to incomplete icons on the right side of the shortcuts in the notification bar. So I'm using dpi 300 again.

Fortunately I realised, that the small icons where reasoned by the "Nova icon normalization feature".

So for now on all is fine. Thanks for your help!

I updated to 6.4.22 an now I have a problem.

The first attempt of updating with the incremental update package (aboot 60 mb) failed. The update app then suggested to install the complete rom. So I downloaded about 400 mb and flashed it via recovery.

The play services are closed every time I reboot the phone. My google account was erased and it is not possible to add a new google account. Seems legit, because google play services are not working. All installed apps are still there.

What can I do? Is there a way to rescue my installation? Would be nice if somebody can help me, maybe @Kingzak34?

But this doesn't work because I can't choose to clear data. The button is "light grey", so I can not choose it.

Edit: Also cleared cache via recovery, nothing works. I have a data connection, WhatsApp works, but I can't browse the internet, chrome is not working.
May it help to flash the kk-gapps again? Or will it mess all up because of the updates which where installed in the last weeks?
Very sad, until today all was working like a charm.

Edit: Flashed the kk-gapps again. Seems to work. Needed to login again with my google acounts but it seems that all is good for now.
