As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.

Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.

Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experimental features from Avatar.

We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

  • Made Statusbar Transparent - Default Status bar is now 25% transparent. Themes which have transparent status bar can make use of this. Seasons is one such theme.
  • Weebo
    • A 4x3 weebo widget can be added in homescreen. It displays current location and recent actions taken by weebo. This list is updated whenever there is location change or any actions are performed by weebo.
    • Fix for change of location when network is not detected
    • Removed cell-Id display from recent events logs. Remove cell-Id entries from recent events list shown in weebo.
    • Changed location tracking time options from locations page. Put a "recommanded" text for 4 hours option and removed "5 minutes" tracking time.
    • Action notifications are getting cleared now
    • Removed Actions in the notifications s when notification is cleared. When user removes notification the actions shown in notification are cleared.

  • Message Bubbles - Reset the bubbles similar to stock version bubble when not themed.

  • Theme Chooser - Fixed download problems with some themes - cobalt blue, cobalt inferno etc

Looks interesting flashing now will see how it goes.

Edit: it didn't play so well with the 12-12 gapps, gonna try again with the 11-30 gapps

tried flashing with no gapps worked much better updater did not pull up gapps with none flashed so used the 20121011 gapps much better boot up will play with it some more and see how it goes.

Flashed the rom, runs like CM10. themes are cool but very few of them and very low quality icons and such. Cool rom for themeing but I am more about clean HD and smooth. Kudos to the devs tho. I am back on clean rom lite.

You can get the same theming capability with Bazooka launcher. However it will be restricted to only launcher app and lockscreen. Many users are not comfortable to flash ROM's. So this solution would work for them.

However if you flash this ROM, you will get theming capability across the phone with new additional features. Try it once and i am sure you will not be disappointed.

    As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.

    Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.

    Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experimental features from Avatar.

    We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

      • A 4x3 weebo widget can be added in homescreen. It displays current location and recent actions taken by weebo. This list is updated whenever there is location change or any actions are performed by weebo.

      • Removed cell-Id display from recent events logs. Remove cell-Id entries from recent events list shown in weebo.
      • Changed location tracking time options from locations page. Put a "recommanded" text for 4 hours option and removed "5 minutes" tracking time.

    Few hours from now, we will be building AvatarROM for 26 devices. We are excited as it is one of our biggest update and we are upgrading to 4.2.1.

    We have upgraded the AvatarROM to 4.2.2 (CM10.1). Going forward we will maintain two branches

    1. Stable Release - CM10 - 4.1.2 (If you need a stable image)

    2. Beta Release - CM10.1 - 4.2.2 (If you ok to see a few random crashes)

    We have merged CM10.1 changes till yesterday (except HDR fix). Every week we will merge CM10.1 changes and as the CM10.1 gains stability, AvatarROM will also be stable.
