**NEW BUILD POSTED**

OP updated to link to the new build. Compiled with Sabermod toolchain (thanks @rogersb11 for pointing me the right way with it). Changelog is the same as here (except for any device specific changes).

That will be it for this week. Next week I'll run some more, and hoping to change the normal splash screen to look like the one that comes with CarbonRom for the S3 (shows Carbon logo under the Samsung Logo).

Anyone that's running this notice random system freezes? Running this on my SGH-i777. Though it's not my primary phone anymore, it gets used by my son on a daily basis. Last night the system was hanging up randomly on him, had to hard reboot. Wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

I haven't experienced any issues running this ROM. So far so good

Okay cool. Could have just been a bad dirty flash or something. I'll have to try a fresh install with this week's new build.

I'll check in screen rotation. Haven't had any issues with it so far. Double check your settings. If you change something, then reboot and make sure it sticks.

What do you mean by turning off IRD? Not sure I'm familiar with that acronym.

The S2 doesn't have infrared. I think you're thinking of the proximity sensor. Is your screen cutting on randomly when you move your phone? If that's the case, then look under Carbon Fibers, in the lockscreen settings, and disable pocket mode.

New build will be out tomorrow. Biggest change I've seen in the last week is that hover will be going away and being replaced with heads up. Can't say I'm totally surprised considering the other aftermarket firmwares that have been using heads up for a while.

Other than that, it's just been a few small changes here and there.

Tomorrow's build will also be done using the Sabermod Toolchain. In the coming weeks I hope to make a few tweaks to the rom to make it that much more smoother and performance driven. We shall see.

I love hover too. There's not too big of a difference between them though. Everyone is turning to heads up. I like to think some of the changes coming are to make it easier to transition to L whenever it's ready to be unleashed.

I could just be dreaming though.

Alrighty. New build has been uploaded and the OP changed to link you to the most current build (8/19).

As said yesterday, the biggest change is that the hover feature was removed and replaced by heads up.

There is no general button to enable/disable heads up. Go to settings>apps, select the app you want to enable heads up for, and tick the check box marked "enable heads up notification".

Just did a fresh install and is running awesome. I have a ATT Galaxy S2/SGH-959G on Net10. Downloads work great and the apps seem to be working pretty smooth. Was able to download my apps from Play Store easy also. Was able to pair my B250 XT+ Bluetooth with no problems. The only problems I have so far is when I make a call with my headset the other person can't hear me but I can hear them. But when I turn the Bluetooth off and back on and the headset reconnects everything works fine. Any ideas ? Other than that..awesome job and thanks for your hard work and bringing this old phone back to life.

Hmmm. I don't use Bluetooth so I can't really say. Headsets can be picky from what I've heard. I'll search around and see what I can find, but maybe someone else who regularly uses it can chime in for the mean time.

Thanks much. I use my headset on a daily basis and need to get it to work. I really like the new rom but if I can't get it to work I guess I'll have to go back to stock. I've tried other custom roms as well and even some stock newer roms but they seem to have a problem with my headset as well. Wondering if it is something to do with the newer android os that it don't like. I can go back to stock and all is well.

I think I got it working. I don't know if this did it or would have anything to do with it but I went in and enabled my in the DSP Manager and it seems to be working now.

I didn't even think about DSP. Glad to hear you got that working. Let me know if you experience the issues again. I'll be running another build this week so I'll look into a few things with the Bluetooth.
