Hey guys. Been out of the flashing scene for a while but it's time. My concerns are A) I'm out of practice, and B) I'm coming from such an older ROM. After doing a bunch of reading, I'm leaning towards this ROM (LiquidSmooth).
I'm currently on a 4.2.2 custom ROM with a CWM 6.0.1.2 recovery. I understand I need a minimum of CWM 6.0.4.3 to flash LiquidSmooth. I also understand that I can get the newer CWM by flashing
Shift kernel as apparently it'll update the recovery as well. What I am
not clear on is whether I can just go ahead and install the current Shift kernel into the 4.2.2 ROM I have now. And if I cannot install the latest Shift kernel, what version of Shift I need to use for an Android 4.2.2 ROM (I see
a lot of older versions available).
To get the proper Gapps after flashing the ROM, I assume I can grab it here?

Some initial guidance in this as it applies to my situation would be greatly appreciated. I
really need to not fsck this up. Thanks!
