Nav

Hi all,

I'm a new user of this rom and all works fine and fast. Except the nav...it works, but it will give me an error saying sdcard is readonly or something...and it drains the batt lie crazy. One hour of nav and my phone is completely dead and turned itself off!

I dotn use setcpu just yet and might try that, but is that al I can try or are there more options?

hello all, hello Lee:

my config: Desire, stock HBOOT, Leedroid 2.4.1 a2sd

today I tried to switch from Clockworkmod recovery 2.5.0.7 to 4ext recovery.

But I have massive problems with restoring 4ext-backups, I got massive fc's and reboots. even the old cwmr backups do not work with 4ext.

more infos: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20922798#post20915755

madmaxx82 guesses that this could be a problem with Leedroid, especially the a2sd+ version.

Does anyone with the A2SD version uses 4ext recovery here? Does anyone has such problems?

I tried Clockworkmod Recovery 5.0.2.0 - I got the same error!

I am sure, there are many Leedroid Users here with cwmr in this actual version, or?

Please can anybody confirm that backup/restore of LeeDroid 2.4.1 (or 2.5.0) works with cwmr 5.0.2.0 or 4ext?

Hi,

I'm trying to geht the final 2.5.0 onto my Desire. Following this Guide I was running Leedroid HD for some time now, now that my wife is gonna use the phone, I wanted to put this ROM on.

I did renew the partitions on the SD with gparted wiped everything and tried to put the ROM on, but I get stuck at the alpharev bootscreen. I even tried another hboot (had Bravo CM7 r2 and now went to Bravo Sense). But still get stuck there. Also tried the LeeDroid GB, but same Problem. I was able to flash the LeeDroid HD ROM back on though.

Any ideas?

What about flashing Bravo stock - if that's direction where you're going anyways?

I'm trying stock hboot now. Stock ROM you mean? I think I would miss A2SD pretty soon, since that's the reason I started customromming in the first place.

€dit: Well, what do you know, works perfectly with the stock hboot.

Hi m8. :-D

Having an eye on your Desire HD thread and realized that you just released Desire HD V.5.1.1, is it possible to port that over to our Desire including LeeDrOiD Tweaks?

I see a lot of versions between 3.3.3. and 5.1.1..
What makes you think that you'd get newest now?

Hi,

I'm using Leedroid 3.0.8.2 on my Desire and in all the videos I record, ate some point the audio mismatches the video.

Is there anyway to fix this? Am I the only one with this issue?

Here's an example of what happens: youtu.be/dIUpChYvO28

Recorded at 720p with mpeg4 codification.

(Even youtube said there was something wrong with the sound when I was uploading the video.)

EDIT:

Even worse now I tried H264 codification and when I try to record something the video app just shuts down! =(

Hm, this may be a cause of a slow memory card. Happens to me ALL THE TIME! I have a 32Gig Samsung Class 2 which is slow and video recordings lag like crazy!

What memory card are you using? Brand, Gigs, and Class Speed?

I heard class 4, 6, and 10 are best for video recording. I should get a class 10 soon :)

I know this is probably old & unsupported now but I've been happily using it for about a year and don't want the hassle of looking for another ROM/totally wiping and starting from fresh but I have a quick query....

Over the last month or 2 I've noticed my phone really starting to slow down and lag. Occasionally Sense will get closed so when I exit an app I have to wait upto 30 secs for it to reload before I can carry on using the phone.

Is there anything I can do to speed things back up to feel like a fresh install? Happy enough to re-install apps etc. and take back ups of messages, contacts & load them back on when I'm done.

Are there any caches I can wipe (other than the standard app ones) or anything else to clear out? Maybe factory reset but unsure what that does to a custom ROM?

Cheers

Hi
Go into recovery and clear cache if it's still playing around with you, make a nandroid backup and make a full wipe (factory reset) then reinstall the rom that you just make a back up from. A full wipe won't erase your sd card. I would prefer to do a full wipe right away;)

Never do a factory reset on a costom Rom. If you have done it, you usually have to flash the Rom again and have to do a clean new installation too.

The slow down and sense restarts you noticed possibly are coming from to low available RAM. I guess, you simply have to much apps installed which are running in the background and consuming RAM and CPU time. Install a taskmanager to see what's running (but please, don't use it to kill tasks...). Then uninstall what you don't need. After that, boot to recovery, whipe dalvik-cache and reboot. If this doesn't help, I recommend a fresh flash of the Rom.

    LeeDrOiD FAQ

    LeeDrOiD FAQ

    Flashing!
    • Use either Amon RA or clockworkmod Recovery < also available via rom manager from the market.
    • if you want A2SD+ Ensure your SD Card is Partitioned with FAT32 & an EXT3 partition
    • Nandroid Backup
    • Full wipe Only required if coming from a non Froyo rom (but always recommended)
    • Flash Rom (you may need to toggle signature verifacation)
    • Flash Radio (unless you already have it)
    • Reboot (this may take a few mins on the initial boot)
    • Optional Flash your chosen theme

    A2SD+
    • Moves apps & Dalvik cahche to your SD card
    • Lots of free internal memory!
    • You will be required to format you SD card with 2 partitions as laid out below

Partitioning your SD Card ready for A2SD+
    • Backup all data on you SD card (this will be wiped)
    • The card should be formatted with your standard FAT32 partition 1st followed by an EXT2/3 partition (I would recommend 512mb, EXT4 is also supported but may shorten the life of you SD card)
    • Linux users use GParted or a similar software.
    • For everyone else I would recommend using Rom Manager
    • Once you have downloaded ROM manager from the market, open the app and click partition SD Card, Select your EXT size and set 0mb for swap
    • Restore your data to your SD and the job is done.

    FrOyO A2SD
    • Moves apps to your Fat32 partition (SD)
    • No EXT partition is required
    • Use "Mod Install Location" (included) to change you default install location.
    • please note, not all applications support direct install to your SD, you can install these and then move them via Sttings > Applications > Manage Applications

    Possible issues and solutions
    • Maps does not show as installed in the market > go to Setting > Applications > all > and clear data & cache in market.
    • I Cant update some of the preinstalled apps even though they are in /data Remove them via Settings > applications, then install them from the market.
    • No mobile internet > go to Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > APN then clear defaults, if your settings dont install just enter them manually
    • I cant see some of the applications that come with the rom >If these are supposed to be included in the rom but do not show up, Try a full wipe
    • I have lost my clockwork recovery update.zip from my sd > Here it is,just drop it on your SD.

    Ok guys, quick update...

2.2g is almost ready.. but, as usual, in our efforts to make things truly awesome! There is additional work to be done, I.e camera chip patch and a car kit issue to sort.

Snq- is working on the kernel and the require patches have been applied to the 2.29 build.

Sorry to delay things but we don't like "half baked" builds ;) looking towards a Sunday release :D
