Back Key klicks twice

Hi,

I'm on leedroid 2.5 (2.3 had the same issue), and my back key klicks twice quite often.

I first presumed it's a hardware thing (the desire is 1,5 years old), but I booted into recovery and did the keyboard test and it never klicked twice there.

could this be a software issue and has someone an idea how to test it? it's quite annoying to get kicked out of reddit instead of just going back from an article to the main view ;)

Superuser 3.0 Issues

Can someone help please?

Superuser got updated the other day to Vers 3.0

Now it says "Su binary outdated. Tap to update su binary" everytime anything tries to use superuser persmissions.

If I click to update it says "New version of su binary found. Update now?" so I click update and it fails after saying

"Remounting /system as rw... okay!" (Okay is in red, the rest of the okays are in green.)

Any ideas? It's stopping a couple of things working which is a bit annoying!

Cheers :)

Are you s-off? Sounds like you're not and it's failing to mount system as rw.

I think you should be able to flash the new binary via recovery. Download it from here

Hello! I'm not sure if this is a problem related to this ROM or if it's a general droid failure, but that's what happens:

Every time I change the default number for a contact (any contact), when synchronizing with google contacts, the default number goes back to the one it was before.
I currently use Go Contacts to manage my contacts and Go Dialer to dial, but I also tried using the default HTC app to do that and the results were the same.
Could anyone tell me if this is a bug I can fix, because it really pisses me off, and having to select the primary number to dial or send sms EVERYTIME is really annoying.

Thanks a lot!

cheers, I'm not s-off and that's done the trick.

I rolled back to the previous version but it re-updated itself again.
My Desire has just started to complain of an outdated SU binary.

Just to confirm what you did please:
Download su-3.0-efgh-signed.zip from the link given by bmdixon.
Save it to the SD card
Enter recovery
Flash the zip

Anything else?

CWM 5.0.2.0

Latest ROM manager now offers to update ClockworkMod 2.5.07 to 5.0.2.0.
with a pop up message whenever you start ROM manager. Is this a good idea for thise of us running LeeDroid 2.5.0?? I running an HTC Desire with standard partition layout and have not gone S-OFF.

You can't permanently update recovery through the rom manager. 2.5.0.7 is one of the best - I use it too, so I'd suggest disabling notifications :)

good choice :)

sense launcher is 'rosie.apk'

but you will need at least one launcher on the rom.zip, otherwise you can't navigate anything at first (or it may not boot). can't remember if launcher2.apk is included by default.

my recommendation is:
1. just delete programs you don't need from the zip first (for me it's things like stocks and twitter...), but leave rosie.apk and all sense widgets for now.
2. flash the rom
3. install go launcher, set as default (press home, tick the box, then select Go launcher).
4. reboot into recovery
5. nandroid :p
6. flash the stripped sense patch from the 1st post, thus removing sense and all widgets.
7. reboot

i know it's not very efficient, flashing sense stuff then removing it after, but it is a safe way as i've done it myself successfully!

HELP NEEDED - Bluetooth Causing Reboots

Hiya

Hoping someone can help with a problem that started today.

For the first time ever (I think) I tried to use voice dialing while connected to Nokia bluetooth handsfree (CK7W I think). I tried it a few times as it didn't recognise anything I said and called the wrong people, fine not a problem, I won't use it. The problem was that the audio died on the phone - nothing through the headphone jack (tried with google maps, spotify, winamp and just the "bing" noise as you change volume - nothing).

Finished the rest of my journey and switched the ignition off (turning off the handsfree) and the phone re-booted. Now everytime I connect/disconnect from BT it re-boots and switching off BT on the phone, makes it reboot with BT still on. This means everytime I start/stop the engine it reboots.

Has anyone got any ideas please? I really need this sorted as I'm away in a hotel and start a new job tomorrow so am relying on my phone alot right now!

Cheers

DSP Manager

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but how do I install the DSP manager? I found the zipfile on the Leedroid website and flashed it with CWM. The installation abortes saying that there has to be edify scripting.

Can someone help? Does DSP Manager work with HTC Sense?

Get Clockworkmod 2.5.0.7 which supports both amend and edify scripting.

SwiftKeyed from my HTC Desire using XDA App.

    LeeDrOiD FAQ

    LeeDrOiD FAQ

    Flashing!
    • Use either Amon RA or clockworkmod Recovery < also available via rom manager from the market.
    • if you want A2SD+ Ensure your SD Card is Partitioned with FAT32 & an EXT3 partition
    • Nandroid Backup
    • Full wipe Only required if coming from a non Froyo rom (but always recommended)
    • Flash Rom (you may need to toggle signature verifacation)
    • Flash Radio (unless you already have it)
    • Reboot (this may take a few mins on the initial boot)
    • Optional Flash your chosen theme

    A2SD+
    • Moves apps & Dalvik cahche to your SD card
    • Lots of free internal memory!
    • You will be required to format you SD card with 2 partitions as laid out below

Partitioning your SD Card ready for A2SD+
    • Backup all data on you SD card (this will be wiped)
    • The card should be formatted with your standard FAT32 partition 1st followed by an EXT2/3 partition (I would recommend 512mb, EXT4 is also supported but may shorten the life of you SD card)
    • Linux users use GParted or a similar software.
    • For everyone else I would recommend using Rom Manager
    • Once you have downloaded ROM manager from the market, open the app and click partition SD Card, Select your EXT size and set 0mb for swap
    • Restore your data to your SD and the job is done.

    FrOyO A2SD
    • Moves apps to your Fat32 partition (SD)
    • No EXT partition is required
    • Use "Mod Install Location" (included) to change you default install location.
    • please note, not all applications support direct install to your SD, you can install these and then move them via Sttings > Applications > Manage Applications

    Possible issues and solutions
    • Maps does not show as installed in the market > go to Setting > Applications > all > and clear data & cache in market.
    • I Cant update some of the preinstalled apps even though they are in /data Remove them via Settings > applications, then install them from the market.
    • No mobile internet > go to Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > APN then clear defaults, if your settings dont install just enter them manually
    • I cant see some of the applications that come with the rom >If these are supposed to be included in the rom but do not show up, Try a full wipe
    • I have lost my clockwork recovery update.zip from my sd > Here it is,just drop it on your SD.

    Ok guys, quick update...

2.2g is almost ready.. but, as usual, in our efforts to make things truly awesome! There is additional work to be done, I.e camera chip patch and a car kit issue to sort.

Snq- is working on the kernel and the require patches have been applied to the 2.29 build.

Sorry to delay things but we don't like "half baked" builds ;) looking towards a Sunday release :D
