Hi, its this going to be updated ever?
Expect a very small update the next days. But not much changes. Just the Alarm Clock widget and app restored because many people wanted this and some updates to other preinstalled apps.

The goal of this ROM is to be very close to the stock ROM just with the "normal" improvements in performance. So there is not much room for modifications now.

I have played around with some 2.2.1 ROMs (portuguise version) but I was not very satisfied with it (bad performance, no other visible improvements) so I decided not to release such version. If LG releases some better 2.2.1 versions or 2.3 I shurely will create a new ROM based on this.

If you want more modifications have a look at the great ROMs created by Noejn.

It's written - "Based on V10c EUR" - can someone give a link or smth where to read which exactly V10c EUR version is? Is it Android 2.2 or 2.2.1? According to previous post it's probably 2.2, but I would like to be sure before flashing ;)

I found that LG's original microSD (samsung I think) is not good, there are errors on read and write. I suggest to all people that want to use app2sd or similar application to change the microSD.

Thanks for this rom, i use it with modified kernel and it work well.

Just a question, where is Google Talk (Gtalk)? I can't find it, there is a way to install it? Thanks!

Changing the samsung's SDcard should fix the sdcard unmount errors.
It did for me and most people on the PT community.

LGP500 AmberHome ROM

This is the first ROM I have ever created and its very close to the stock one. Only some preinstalled apps are removed and some features added. I don't have the time to make much modifications so don't expect much "killer features" in this ROM.

The main intention for creating this ROM was that I was low on internal memory all the time so the main feature for me is the Darktremor Apps2SD support.

If you want to overclock, install this kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=866774

This ROM ist based on the original european Firmware and you can download it here: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP500/ANEUBK/V10c_00/V10C_00.kdz

For the german version of this thread look here: http://www.android-hilfe.de/lg-p500-optimus-one/57227-rom-lgp500-amberhome-v1-0-25-11-2010-a.html

V1.0: LGP500_AH_1_0.zip

Custom status bar:
THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH STOCK ROM! Your ROM needs to be deodexed!

Many people wished a black status bar (including me) so I took a look into it. The tricky part of making a black status bar is to get the clock, date and ticker text color to white. There are some tools here in the forum for doing this automatically but none of them worked for me so I searched for a description, how to make this manually. I found it in a youtube video.

The easier part is changing icons, battery symbol etc because there is the great Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen. This is really great. Just click together what you want and let this kitchen cook your theme. :). Most features should work but I have not tested them all.

If you want to create your own status bar feel free to extract the framework-res.apk from one of the following files. If you want to create a black status bar use the first one, if you want to create a white status bar use the second one.

These files are flashed like a ROM. (First reboot takes very long)

White original status bar:

Credits and Donations
Though it took me some nights to create this ROM and to create the black status bar I only used tools created by others. So if you want to make a donation please make a donation to them, not me.

drellisdee for the great recovery and the first OC Kernel. Thank you very much!

dsixda for the great and simple kitchen. Everybody can create a ROM with it. Thanks very much!

The team behind the Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen. This makes it possible to create great simple themes. Thank you very much.

And a big thanks to the others who developed the tools I used. Mainly: Windows Enabler, DZExtract, unyaffsmbn, nandroid, ...
I love it! I was finally able to custom rom and install AH. I love it! much leaner and beautiful. thank you!:D

This rom supports ext4 sd partition?

I'm confused... Megatron or Amberhome?

EDIT: I installed AH and I would like to say something about this rom with you. Can you change boot screen with "prime" boot screen? Can you delete LG Keyboard? Can you upgrade Froyo from 2.2 to 2.2.1? or 2.3? Can you delete Thinkfree Office?

I think that you can remove "Thinkfree office" and the LG Keyboard using the Titanium Backup feature (the easier way) or maybe you can do that also with Root Explorer (deleting manually their files from the system directory)...

If u can do it yourself, why to wait?!? :)

I can't help you about boot screen...

Anyway, LG Gingerbread rom is unavailable yet and, imho, using a buggy ROM from the SDK isn't the best android experience...

PS: sorry for my bad english!

Request:
would it be possible to integrate bluez tools, so that I can use Bluetooth Keyboard?
I think I don't have time for such things.

ext4 is only supported with OC kernel.

I won't make the changes you requested. Froyo 2.2.1 has no problems of the 2.2 version fixed and is slower. Thinkfree can just be uninstalled. I will keep the LG keyboard.

Should be somewhere around 500.

Hi Corwin, thanks for your great job. I've been using AmberHome since you posted it, but now I have created myself one which best suites my needs... I saw you made a black notification bar using the Ultimate Online Kitchen... I tried to make my own, but I noticed after I installed it that the text on it is still black... How did you do to change it?
