Bug Report

Hi there
At first, thank you very much for your work. This ROM is very stable and the performance is good as well.
However, I'd noticed a few bugs and I'd like to report them to you.
My device: SM-J320F
My version: 14.1-20181102-UNOFFICIAL-j3xlte

1. Bluetooth audio is unstable if WiFi is enabled (audio lags and stutters really annoyingly). Weirdly, if I use mobile data instead of WiFi to listen or watch something, Bluetooth audio works perfectly.
2. The built-in file explorer can't show the content of my SD-card. It only displays "Can't load content at the moment" (Screenshots on my Google Drive https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eaK5cf8jcLfQiYpGc54NDB_Sl1aUOy7Q ). Weirdly, the SD-Card is recognized nonetheless in the explorer and the content of the internal storage is shown correctly.
3. Some settings are not saved. I noticed this with the following two options (but this may not be limited to): Settings>Developer Options>Disable absolute volume and Settings>Developer Options>Select USB Configuration. The first option is not being applied at all and the control resets as soon as I leave the options page and return later. The latter is reset as soon as I disconnect the phone from my computer. This is annoying because when I connect my phone to my computer, it is always in charging only mode and I have to enable file transfer manually every time since it resets as soon as I disconnect the computer.

Thank you very much.

Kind regards

is not a defective sd card? I think the usb option is of the system itself, and that it can not leave a preconfigured

Your SD card works fine. The problem is that since build 20180730, exFAT is no longer supported and behaves like that when you try to access it via LOS (it still works in TWRP). The solution is to format your SD card as FAT32 but you need to use a third-party tool or linux' fdisk as windows cannot format mediums larger than 32GB to FAT32. Also, trying to format via android will result in a java timeout exception and fail.

This problem only occurs with SD cards larger than 32GB as any other still get formatted to FAT32 by default.

Hope this helps. Cheers!

I have a strange problem with LOS 14.1 on my J320FN - it happened 2 times already.
Previously I has LOS14.1-20171018 version which worked great about 1 year. Someday I had situation, that some app was not responding, so I've closed it, then tried to run it again - no success - black screen when app was running, so I've restarted the phone, and my android or userprofile was corrupted because MANY things didn't worked as: home button doesn't responded, also the minimise/multitasking button. I couldn't swipe down the top bar 2 times (only 1 time, so I cannot fast change screen brightness), I could not access settings -> Users, some settings were resetted to default (like ringtone, vibration etc.).

I've wiped cache, and installed newest version of LOS 14.1 (20181102) - dirty install didn't helped. So I've wiped OS and do a clean install - Success. I've configured my phone properly, and it worked about 2 weeks, until today - when the same situation happened (app crashed, after phone reboot some functions were not running properly).

Has anyone had similar situation? Or maybe my phone is failing?

Wipe cache, dalvik cache, data, system you will lose all your data in the process. Then install rom and gapps.

Already done it 2 weeks ago, today happened the same. I'm only asking is it some kind of bug in LOS or my phone is failing?
Try to restore original firmware with odin, if the problem remains your phone is failing, but it doesn't seem a hardware problem. it's very strange. I think you have installed some apps that create this problem.

Or it can be the battery, check the battery status if it's swollen you have to change it, try also to check temperature, voltage and other data using apps like for example kernel auditor.

when I receive many calls in a short time (10 minutes) the phone slows down and struggles to switch on from standby
if the phone is not unlocked after a call it may depend on the proximity sensor dirty and therefore can not detect when the phone is near the ear. Try cleaning the phone at the top where ther is the sensor and if you have protective films take it off. If the problem is software try to reset.

If you sure that it isn't hardware problem, after call try to check background process in "developer option"/"services running", check if there are any abnormal processes. If there are abnormal processes try to delete data of those process and stop them.

Guys any way to fix twrp lag???

Help meeee....
Flash the stock firmware for your device using odin, after open your dialer app and dial *#2663#. It should open a menu, then tap on the TSP FW update after that tap on the TOUCH KEY FW update the tap on the REFRESH WIFI VERSION to restart your device. It should fix it. Then always with odin reflesh twrp.
