[ROM] LineageOS 14.1 for Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) [SM-J320FN/F/G/M] [UNOFFICIAL]

Question, i just did a fresh install on my SM-J320FN.
But every time i make a call and the person does not answer, the phone just stays with a blank screen and i need to take out the battery, it completely locks.
I can see that when i initiate a call, the screen goes blank immediately even if i don't raise the phone to my face.
Any ideas?

It is probably a hardware problem, ie the proximity sensor that is at the top of the screen, after making the call checks that the sensor is not dirty at the top, checks that there is nothing covering the sensor, and if you have applied a protective film, that also covers the sensor, remove it.

I don’t have any screen protector and it was working fine with original rom.
I’ve tried 2 different roms and behavior is the same. Both based in Lineage.

Have you tried reverting back to stock rom? After that reflash the costom rom again.

Same result.
As a WA i placed the power button as an "End Call".

Yes is the best I use this Rom since 2017

Has lineage contact but you can install Google contact easy from play store

Yes it sync when log Whith your Google account

Not fatisal is mainteiner but @djeman fatisal is missing from a year and I think j3 development is like dead sorry because I love j3

I don't think it is possible, not even sure this device can boot oreo. But Lineageos 14.1 is being developed a long time and is quite stable, there are some newer update which impact on performance I am impatient to see. It would be nice if someone could continue building Lineageos 14.1 for our device at least a couple more months

I don't think so. There is a post, on one of the last pages on this forum. Is is about LineageOS 15 for the F or FN model. I think that the project is discontinued or abandoned. It was on alpha or beta phase (I don't remember). It would be grate to take it again and continue it, like this, for most variants of the J3.

I've successfully builded LOS15 for FN. Kernel is working but it have display issues thus it cannot be booted. Please be patient until I find a solution.
